I had called the hotel directly to get a price Amazingly almost double the rate I booked through Hotel.com. Handy to all areas of town. Good restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance "

"The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The staff were all extremely hospitable and kind. We partook in the (free!) s’mores kits by a roaring fire outside, enjoyed a breakfast basket in the morning served with a Stanley thermos full of delicious coffee, and in general loved lake placid. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat! "
