Best little piece of heaven in the city!
Beautiful old Hacienda that has a charm you will not find in a chain hotel! First Pablo at the front wel oming me to the inn and showing me where to go. The restaurant staff were terrific and attentive. Roman was my waiter at the bar/restaurant/pool. He is the absolute best and the reason i will stay here again and everytime i visit Merida.

Front desk was understaffed, room on front of hotel was loud, dirty and outdated, food/restaurant was limited and not good. Was super convenient location to airport but there's no shuttle! Despite all of this, we'd stay there again for the convenience and just knowing what to expect.

We had to wait until 3:40pm to enter the room although we arrived at 3pm. The room is not yet ready. The check-in time is Ithink 3pm.

The hotel did not meet expectations due to the presence of many mosquitoes inside the rooms. Despite requesting repellent, the product provided caused nasal irritation. A change of room was requested, but it did not solve the problem, since it was just as infested with mosquitoes. The hotel did not provide a refund as it was booked through Expedia. Expedia promised to send a claim to the hotel to request reimbursement for the conditions of the hotel. Expedia only offered a token percentage of compensation. The truth is that it didn't even make up for half of the other hotel I had to book that same night. After six days I am still waiting for Expedia to resolve the refund. Actually, I'm disappointed and contemplating finding a more dependable travel company in the future, and I'll be sure to check guest reviews before booking any other hotel. If you're not concerned about contracting illnesses like Zika or dengue from mosquitoes, then perhaps this hotel is suitable. However, it's important to note that neither Expedia nor the hotel takes responsibility if you fall ill. That's the perception I gained from my unfortunate experience.

We arrived at the hotel around 1:50 pm on the day of our reservation. We had to wait past 3 pm to get into our room (and we were not the only ones). My best guess is that they did not have sufficient staff to clean the rooms fast enough to get them ready for the new arrivals. Also, bring repellent with you because the room was infested with mosquitos!
