Very nice property. There was a lot to do and everyone was very friendly. The unit we stayed in was well maintained. Parking was a snap and plentiful. Already planning our trip!

Some curtains or drapes would have been nice. Otherwise be prepared to wake up with the sunrise. Also the couch bed in our unit was broken which made the couch uncomfortable to sit on

Nice property, Stay away from Vacation Desk
It was our second stay here. We love the location and comfort this hotel provides for a family but their check in process or the Vacation Desk specifically they send you to in order to pickup room key is terrible. Just give people and families an option to get to their room as soon as possible, especially late at night instead of taking 30 minutes. They used a well polished “yes,yes” technique to sign me up for one of their “presentations”. Without context I was offered 4PM late checkout, which I accepted. Then I was told that not too many people get this but I also qualify for up to 7 days free vacation in their hotel group Worldwide and asked me if I am interested. I said Yes. Little do I know after adding up a $120 cash credit to all listed, I got signed up for a “presentation about the property” that is 90 minutes and I have to take during my personal time on my 2 day getaway? I left and cancelled the next day. At that time they took away even the late check out time they initially offered me to accept WITHOUT CONTEXT. I was told that “customer service is their pride”. Not how I felt. This is a timeshare property and they use tactics to get you signed up and waste your time for a few bucks best case or worst case getting you into buying memership. Not pleasant. Bad experience with Vacations Desk!

Upon checkin there was a requirement to sign up for a timeshare speal during our visit. When we got to the room, we realized it was not the one we ordered with a jacuzzi tub. I’m 8.5 months pregnant and really needed that. Calling back to the desk, we were quickly ushered to the lodge that we ordered, and was explained that we got a free upgrade to the newly remodeled ones not realizing our need for the tub. It was outdated but still good enough for us. Kitchen had everything we needed-we brought 3 days worth of food to cook. It was a very small kitchen, kind of like apartment living, which made it hard for a couple to cook together, but we made do. We enjoyed bingo every day and a round of putput. The timeshare speal lasted 3.5 hours versus the 60-90 min quote. The initial girl was ok and friendly but when they brought in the big guns to change our minds it was a bit irritating and forceful like we were buying a car. Sad to see that the lake was so dry. And after we got home we were up charged for state taxes and something else totaling over $45 I believe. Was very disappointed in that. I expected what I paid at booking was the only charge I’d have.
