The owners were very friendly when we checked in. Everything in the compact, efficient room was clean and in working order. There is no elevator. There were only two bath towels for our two adults and two adult children, so I went to the housekeeping room for more towels and some hand soap. The refrigerator was too small; it only fit several bottles of water and a couple ice packs; probably better for families of 3 or not traveling around as much. Two of us waded into the pool but it was too cold and dirty on the bottom. Fortunately, it’s only a few minutes drive to the Tahquitz Canyon trail, so we could rush to the 8 am hike before the park entry closed due to capacity. Overall, it’s a good to sleep and keep our suitcases while sightseeing.

This is a hard review to write because the PEOPLE at the property were absolutely amazing. Kind, friendly, helpful. All you would expect at a high end hotel. But honestly, this is a tired property which has seen better days. Coats of paint do not hide the ravages of time. The carpets are threadbare, the shower wasn't particularly clean and I must have drained Lake Perris waiting for the hot water. But the biggest issue were the roaches (5) that appeared in the bathroom at night. I eventually had to leave the bathroom light on. I understand that, at this price point, there are limitations - but regardless of price point certain things are unacceptable. Now, the staff were great - it is not THEIR fault the property is in the condition it's in. But I just wasn't all that thrilled with my stay.

This is an older hotel but they are trying to do some updating. It was quiet and had everything we needed. Staff was friendly.

It's an okay place with a great location
We had an accident in the room that involved a wine bottle breaking. Unfortunately, there was no cleaning crew to clean up AND there were no cleaning tools available except a broom that looked like an old toothbrush the way it was mangled. Other than that the place was okay and clean. The guy who checked us in was really nice. Don't expect a lot in terms of front desk service. The front desk is only occupied a few hours a day. They have a cute bulldog who likes butt scritches. The location is really the best thing about this spot. It's near everything. The rooms are ok. The beds are about like motel 6 quality. There was a nice selection of entertainment on the TV.

Run Down Mess
Where to start? Running toilet, Light fixtures that didn't work (it was too dark to see at night) Musty smell, no towels, dingy property, dirty pool/hottub and many sketchy people everywhere. I checked out and left.
