I was looking forward to staying at the hotel since I enjoyed the restaurant so much but the two are on totally separate scales. My room had a horrible musty smell and the mattress needed to be replaced. Not what you expect for paying over $500/night.

Planters Inn is Fantastic
We loved the Planters Inn, it is a historic building with furnishings to match the era and charm of Charleston. The staff is fantastic as is the breakfast in the Peninsula Grill. The location is in the heart of all things to see and do, right across the street from the City Market as well as the best restaurants. I'm so glad I decided to stay there!
