Panoramic mountain vistas and walkable town convenience make Rocky Vista the perfect home base for your Estes Park vacation. Located on the western slope of Little Prospect Mountain and overlooking the town, Rocky Vista enjoys sweeping views of the Continental Divide to the west, and views of Bond Park, Lumpy Ridge, and the Stanley Hotel to the north.
Set among beautiful rock outcroppings and mature pines, this cozy cabin offers the feel of mountain seclusion while being only a 10-minute walk to the heart of downtown. It was completely renovated in the spring of 2024 bringing the cabin to full mountain elegance.
Rocky Vista offers two outdoor deck areas from which to enjoy the morning alpenglow or the colorful evening sunsets. The upper deck wraps around two sides of the cabin and has a gas grill, table, and plenty of chairs for al fresco dining. The lower deck, built around a large Ponderosa pine in the yard, is perfect for relaxing to the sounds of the Big Thompson River below. There is also a flagstone patio nestled in the rocky outcroppings with a beautiful view of Lumpy Ridge and the Stanley Hotel, which has a table and four chairs.
Inside the cabin, the upper level has an inviting living area featuring a relaxed mountain decor, awesome views, and a large moss rock fireplace to enjoy on cool evenings. A flat-screen SMART TV, Blu-ray/DVD player, DVD’s, games, and books are also to be found in the living area. Bring your streaming account credentials, or your streaming devices (AirPlay, Chromecast, etc.) and “beam” your favorite shows to the Smart TV. The well-stocked kitchen has an electric range, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and even a crockpot for easy meal prep.
The lower level has 3 bedrooms (2 with queen beds, 1 with a sturdy twin-over-twin adult-capable bunk bed) and a full bath with a tub/shower combo. One of the queen bedrooms has an attached ¾ bathroom. Also on the lower level are a full-sized washer and dryer.
In addition to the gorgeous setting, guests enjoy high-speed internet/Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, and plenty of off-street parking for several cars. For guests with a baby or toddler, a Pack’N Play (bring your own sheets) and a small high chair/booster seat are available for use. As the private road leading to the cabin has a relatively steep section, an AWD vehicle is recommended for winter guests.
