"The Gaslamp hostel is an excellent place to stay in heart of downtown San Diego for budget travelers. It's close to the airport and several major tourist attractions and also has amazing dining options around. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the amenities are well maintained and clean. The only downside is that since it is located in a bustling area, over the weekends, it was extremely noisy in the area around and hence quite difficult to sleep with with all the party sounds pouring in. For a light sleeper like me, that was a real challenge but perhaps for a heavy sleeper, it would be fine. And the room walls are paper thin, so there was also a lot of noise coming from the other rooms. But overall, I cannot complain much. I would stay there again, despite the noise issue."

"Great property I was in for a quick trip for a show at House of Blues and was perfect location. Easy to walk around and find things. Near plenty of transportation options. The entire stag was amazing and so nice. Breakfast was great each mornin plus the snack wardrobes on each floor. Would recommend and stay again next. Oh Maritza was super helpful as well as the other woman I missed her name. The doormen also pay close attention to who is coming and going making it feel very safe. "
