We paid a lot of money for this hotel, as it had a pool and the bedroom configuration (double and 2 singles) worked for our family. The pool was closed for part of our stay which was annoying. The changing rooms were quite dirty and the whole place felt very dated. The room was ok but the bathroom was very dated and frankly pretty disgusting. The whole hotel needs a revamp. For the amount we paid (and accounting for the distance from Edinburgh city centre) I would have expected a lot better. Would not recommend.

Outside area had alot of rubbish, menu and food rather limited and poor. Room had no toilet roll and few towels we had to ask for both. Bathroom was dirty and toilet seat was broken. Room was not well kept very disappointing. Overall all for £900 for 3 nights not value for money at all. I stay at alot of marriots this is by far the worst.

Nice hotel and staff, good food. Note - if travelling with kids then children are not allowed to use the spa bath and sauna! And water in the pool was too cold to enjoy and relax.

The AC didn’t work, the got very warm and it was uncomfortable. We called the front desk who sent an old fan to our room…. Which did not help. They gave us a 20% discount on our room which should have been no charge. Welcome to Marriott!
