Normally, it's very good. As an Expedia Platinum member I inquired about my upgrade. I am fully aware that if the hotel is full, they can't upgrade the room but alternatively, they can grant access to amenities such as the VIP lounge, etc. I asked the receptionist if I had access and she confirmed, but when I tried to access the lounge via the elevator, I had no access. This trip it wasn't a big deal because I was out most of the time, but it is the principle of the thing.

Great hotel, reasonably priced. Very friendly staff and incredible breakfast. Restaurant is big but has too many tables so it’s not cozy and you wind up sitting too close to other patrons. Great facilities for events and small conventions.

Hurricane Beryl forced a change due to airport closure. Airlines offered a free refund but Barcelo blamed Expedia and Expedia blamed Barcelo. Expedia refunded me $100 but Barcelo did not refund or offer a discounted rate for me. Terrible.
