One-night stay as we traveled through North Carolina. This property was priced well for a room/bath. There are no additional amenities. The room was clean and well air-conditioned. It is conveniently located along Havelock's main artery. Our only quibble would be the lack of a standing lamp in the room we rented. The only lights were two wall-mounted fixtures above the bed.

The motel was clean and comfortable. They are working to fix the place up. Our room was newly painted with a nice shower. The outside is a little raw, but the inside was fine. The bed was comfy.

The door only had the door handle lock. The secondary lock was broken. The room needed some repairs but nothing that interfered with our comfort and no room smell.. Had a working microwave and refrigerator, great water pressure, and a great bed, pillows, bedding and fantastic air condition. The room was simple no phone, clock or a table but it was fine for 1 night stay. The staff showed us where our room was under the stairwell.

Just the basics, but it wasn't bad
Bare basic room, older furniture, a TV that worked, some paint/wall in bathroom looked like it needed work. Not the best, but it was okay for a short night's stay. There were plenty of outlets, which was a plus as I had a lot of devices/batteries to recharge, front desk clerk was very nice.

The lobby was shutdown, check-in handled at a walk up window with a sign stating No Refunds. Had already paid, so I stayed. Based on what I could see from the outside, I would not have stayed. Parking lot was pretty much empty all weekend. Found a roach on my last day.

Attended a 1st Communion and hotel was walking distance. Clean room, nice TV and fridge, hair dryer didn't work, no coffee pot. Walking distance to City Park.

Okay not good for long term
It was fine for a nights stay as we passed through the area, but wouldn’t recommend long term stays. It’s pretty run down and dreary looking. The room was clean but outdated with some random cosmetic things. We did check for bed bugs because that was listed on another review, didn’t find any but it seems they put covers on the mattresses now so my guess they may have had a problem once but not anymore. The heat was either hot or cold, no in between. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were terrible, we used sweatshirts to boost them or we were laying flat.
