About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Feature: Skiing, Sledding, Snoqualmie Summit East

Summary:
Location, Location, Location. Walk across the street and you are at Snoqualmie Summit East (Hyak). Legendary Ski hill with ticket counter a few steps from the front door. Summer is also great here with hikes, trails, and mountains.

We spared no expense furnishing this house with high-end finishes everywhere. Super-automatic coffee maker, new pots and pans, everything a kitchen needs. Dual internet with failover including Starlink on battery backup and a generator means you'll never get cut off.

The Space:
The vibe in this home is like nothing you've been in. It's kind of a small house, but it makes up for it in every other way. Great layout, high-end finishes/amenities, perfect view, awesome neighborhood. You're going to love having morning coffee from the super-automatic coffee machine that can make you a latte or flat white over ice (byo milk). Overpowered heating system with the downstairs floor 100% heated and then forced air for the main floor and upstairs means you'll be cozy at all times. The entry has about 100 coat hooks to hang your outside gear plus 2 sets of glove/boot warmers to keep your gloves and boots dry for repeated use.

Downstairs: Bedroom and bathroom, heated floors, Queen plus roller bed
Main Floor: Living area, powder bath, laundry, etc - master suite plus master bath, 1 King bed plus roller bed

Upstairs (LOFT): Open area with two queen beds, plus some camping pads for extra sleeping

Guest Access:
We have a large driveway that easily fits 4 cars even in the winter with snow everywhere. You'll pull right into our well maintained road that is kept nice even all winter they are out there plowing every morning when it's been snowing. There is a keypad on the door and you'll get your own access key before you arrive. Check in is 4pm but generally we can be flexible as we keep a buffer between rentals.

The Neighborhood:
The mountain setting feels a world away from greater Seattle. In the summer you'll find the same green vibe as Seattle but trails everywhere and a mountain outside the front door. In the winter you'll be in a wonderland where everything is white and fluffy and everyone is having fun and adventuring 24/7.

Getting Around:
You'll be able to walk out of the house to the ski slopes, tubing hill, trails, even a lake. Beyond that you'll want a car to head a couple miles up the hill if you need food/gas/etc. The summit has really great pizza and a few restaurants. The "P-House" (Pancake House) is good, and the brand new Laconia Market up there has great food togo.

Other Things to Note:
In the winter you MUST have AWD/4WD. The county plows the road into the neighborhood but there is usually snow pack on the ground all winter long. We have a service snowblow the driveway but it will also have a layer of ice/snow on the surface all winter long and if you are staying during snow you'll frequently see up to a foot of build up before the crew comes and cleans. This means at times you might be out there with a snow shovel if you are in a low-ground-clearance vehicle! More directly, if you are in an AWD vehicle like a van/tesla, you probably will be stuck and shoveling in the driveway if it snows hard while you're there. If you have a pickup/jeep/etc you'll probably make it in and out no problem all season.

Pets must be on a leash when outside - it's not intuitive because "it's the mountain" but there are many folks living there full time and lots of people out walking/etc. No matter how well-behaved your dog is it probably won't be able to resist the neighbors pet bunny that is frequently outside :)

Interaction with Guests:
I am an hour away but available via chat/email/phone. The house has a keypad for entry 24/7.

Stay for marathon
We stayed at this property as it is right next to the start line for the Cascade Express marathon. The location was perfect and the neighborhood was very nice. It happened to be some of the hottest days of the year, but with the ceiling fans and wall a/c, the house stayed comfortable. The owners were very responsive and we would definitely stay again!!

Perfect snowy getaway
Had everything you would need, toys, sleds, rice cooker and even ice ready to go. Place was super clean, neighborhood roads were cleared out and the neighborhood was super quiet. Everything is literally 5 minutes away!

Perfect family cabin getaway, will be returning!
We came in June as a cabin getaway to rest & connect as a family before the busyness of summer. When we arrived the place smelled fresh & clean, kids ran to explore the rooms & we were happy to see that the home was pristinely spotless. Everyone picked their rooms & we all got a good nights rest. Beds were nice & comfortable. Regarding accommodations, the hosts really thought of everything. Random note about the kitchen, we absolutely loved that they labeled their cabinets, it made it so easy to find the waffle maker, the cutting boards, plastic wrap, etc. Usually when you stay at rentals you feel like you can't find anything, but this made it so easy. Appliances & utensils were high quality. We spent time playing board games, enjoying the breathtaking views, going on walks. There was even a little play area for the little ones & fun arcade games, kids had plenty to do. Less than 5 minutes away walking distance we found an old secret train tunnel hike that the kids (& us!) were blown away by. This was the perfect home away from home & fun for the whole family, already looking to book our next one. Can't wait to come back!

Great mountain getaway for Fall hiking
We had a great time staying in Snoqualmie Pass. The house was beautiful, great location, easy to find and exactly as advertised. The hosts provided everything we needed and the bonus was the fun toys (wooden trains, Legos, doll house, books) that kept our 2 1/2 yr old entertained while we were at the house. We enjoyed our time and were so thankful for the nice place to stay. The neighbors were friendly and the food/drinks in town were very good (Commonwealth, Pie for the People and DruBru). Would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Couldn't Have Selected a Better Place
The home was very lovely and the pictures provided in the listing accurately depict the property. It was large (much larger than we needed) and had everything we needed and more. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and we had no issues during our stay. The neighborhood was also very quiet and lovely. Could not recommend this property more.

Excellent Experience
First VRBO experience and what a great one it was. This is the perfect mountain home literally minutes from skiing, hiking and lots of outdoor activities. The home has every amenity you could need with comfortable lounging and sleeping . My VRBO host, Troy, was easy to communicate with and responsive to my few questions. Looking forward to my next Hyak getaway and to renting from Troy again.
