Both the location and the unit were beautiful! The main thing that was missing that we're use to as a necessity being Florida natives was central A/C or even a window A/C unit - there were only ceiling fans and portable oscillating fans made for sleeping at nights kind of uncomfortable, even with having the sliding door and windows open with the screens shut, of course. Locals on the island rely on the ocean breeze to help keep indoors cooled so A/C is not common, however, we believed it was very necessary, as Kona is notorious for being hot and both dry and humid. Additionally, as a heads up, the shower "entry" has essentially half of a see-thru glass partition? and not an actual door/partition combo, so it was a little challenging to keep the water IN the shower because it's always half open lol. So therefore, only reasons for 4 stars. We were overall happy with our stay and mahalo for the hospitality!
