A conveniently located hotel with tons of shops and restaurants. Walking distance to Gion. Not far from Kyoto station and taxi fare is not expensive.

Excellent location!! Turning the corner onto the property, all of the noise of the city vanished. Beautiful hotel with great service. Will recommend to ANYONE traveling to Kyoto this is a perfect accommodation.

Sure, here's a corrected version of the review: First of all, it was a small hotel with very limited space, which was unexpected. However, the staff were very friendly and kind. The nighttime ochajuche was great, and the Japanese-style breakfast was also delicious. If you're looking for a good location and decent food, this is the right place. Just keep in mind that the rooms are very small.

Clean and tidy hotel. Staff very polite and helpful. Hotel located right outside kyobashi metro station and a 5 minute walk to Tokyo station. Very convenient to get to. Would recommend and stay here again.

Excellent and great value hotel in a very convenient central location. Comfortable and good sized room. Very clean. Many sites of interest within walking distance and lots of public transport options close by. Amenable and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay at this hotel: from the great breakfasts—you can choose Japanese or Western—to the lovely Bach music that quietly plays in the reception area, the hallways and even outside on the block in front of the hotel. Staff was very friendly & helpful too.

Would have given a full 5 star rating but due to personal allergies to something in the rooms (most probably the detergent used for the towels and sheets, I had a bad allergic reaction that caused my arms, legs, and chest to be covered in hives. The staff were extremely helpful in trying to resolve the issue ( change room, provide bottled water for showers, directions to the nearest pharmacist).

The hotel is located just a few steps away from the main street. There is shopping and so many places to eat. You can catch the buses to Kinkakuji, Arashiyama, practically anywhere you need to go. Its awlays our first choice when staying in Kyoto.
