The suite was great and would be perfect for a group that wants to travel together, hang out, but sleep in their own space (4 separate bedrooms with shared kitchenette/lounge area/bathrooms. Unfortunately, when we were there in June, the road leading to the entrance was completely blocked by construction and the signage marking the detour was poor and confusing as you had to go through a gated parking lot and over the grass/gravel to get to the front door. This was confusing for deliveries and taxi pickups because it wasn’t clear the gates would open without a pass/payment.

The building was hard to find, it’s not called the conference centre on the property. No one was at the desk when we tried to check in, it took almost 20 minutes for the employee to return. I was also double charged for the room, after paying for the room that night, my card was charged a second under a different Fanshawe name.

All in all it was nice, nice campus to walk around. Nice common area with snacks and drinks for purchase. Lots of room with 2 bathrooms which was very nice. We had a little trouble finding it at first, the directions were just to the college and then after a while I finally found a couple signs for residence and there were 2, we didn’t know if we were staying at Merlin or Peregrine residence, luckily, when we finally found a residence and front door, we were at the right place. It would be nice if they improved driving/where to check in directions. Also, bring your own blanket as the one provided is very small and not cozy. Otherwise our stay was fine.

New rooms, however having the individual bedroom doors automatically walk seems like it can cause a problem. The property is under heavy construction. Getting off campus requires lots of walking and is even more difficult with the construction.

This property should NEVER be rented. I thought it was like a Residence Inn. Instead it is on a college campus that is totally under construction. The parking lot was quite far from the door, the construction has everything a mess! The address that I was given was completely wrong. I was very frustrated!

Watch out - Google maps takes you to the road behind the hotel and you need to drive quite a bit further and meander your way in to get to the building. It's the Merlin house.
