Isabella House is a circa 1885 cottage with vintage character and charm located on Canal Street in downtown Natchez, Mississippi. Within short walking distance are such attractions as: The Natchez Visitor Center, Bluff Park and walking trail, The Convention Center, historic Under-The-Hill Saloon as well as beautiful antebellum homes and the mighty Mississippi River himself. The cottage has been lovingly renovated from a state of total disrepair and is available for nightly and weekly stays comfortably accommodating 2-4 guests. Although furnished with many unique and antique pieces, it still offers modern conveniences such as TV, internet, dishwasher and washer/dryer as well as complimentary beverages. The rear courtyard is spacious and private and has a grill and chiminea for guest use. At Isabella House, you'll be within walking distance of wonderful downtown shops, restaurants and entertainment, but you might not want to leave the back porch!

A step back in time
Our first ever trip to the Bluff City was a wonderful experience, in large part due to our excellent accommodation in this lovely 19th century cottage. We spent a three-day weekend and everything exceeded our expectations! The rooms were luxuriously appointed and cozy. The noise from Canal Street was definitely noticeable but not intrusive, and the back porch and courtyard were comfortable and inviting (it helped that we lucked into ideal weather conditions - low 70s during the day and low 50s at night with low humidity). We heartily recommend the Isabella House for anyone looking for a comfortable place with a touch of the Old South, but with modern conveniences and a great location.

Enjoyed a Weekend in Natche
We enjoyed a lovely long weekend in Natchez. The Isabella Cottage was the perfect location. We enjoyed walking around town and had everything we needed. Some other guests mentioned in past reviews that the road noise bothered them, but we had no trouble sleeping!

Great stay in Natchez
We really enjoyed our stay at Isabella House for the balloon races. Nice place with everything that we needed. Really comfortable. It was larger than I expected. Loved the nice back yard and porch. I would say to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There is some road noise because you are in the middle of all the action. But that is exactly what we were looking for. We parked the truck and walked everywhere all weekend. Everywhere we wanted to go was within a mile of the house. Really nice for busier weekends in Natchez when parking can be limited. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay
My husband, mother, and our two dogs stayed for the 4th of July fireworks. This little cottage was perfect. It was a great location to walk to most places and it had everything we needed. A fenced back yard for the “kids” with a bbq pit was great. The cottage has so much charm. We loved it.

Great property!
Everything was exactly as advertized. I can not say too much about how great our host was! They were extremely responsive and even came over to help us with the TV on the same day as they were heading out of town! We enjoyed how close the house is to everything and how cosy the house itself is. You really can't go wrong with this house!

Beautiful little house in downtown Natchez
This little house is perfect for those of us who love Southern History. Everything was set up for the guest and there is a house guide to help you with anything you need to know. I definitely recommend the stay. You are only a couple of blocks from downtown and all of the restaurants and shopping. Other reviews spoke of the traffic but after dark it does slow down so it is not as bad as it would seem. You do have to remember you are staying downtown.

Girls Weekend Away
I went with my 2 best friends, all moms, who took a long weekend for shopping, great food, and a getaway from every day life. This is such a cute and lovely home that was so clean and PERFECT for us. The backyard and back porch are amazing. We were so close to everything. This house was super convenient to come back to after shopping for a rest and then back out again. We will definitely come back!

Wonderful Private Home
The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The back yard enclosure is a great place to sit and relax and is very convenient for pets. It is walking distance from everything in town (or a very short, convenient drive). I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway.

Quaint little Isabella House
The Isabella House is like taking a step back in time. The owner has done a very nice job setting-up the house to give you a feel of the period. This home has been restored nicely and sits near many historical areas in Natchez. There is a noise issue with S. Canal street but the owner provides a white noise device and ear plugs. To me that was very considerate and helpful. I will try to stay here again the next time we come to Natchez.

Noise
If you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place for you. The amount of noise in particular traffic is unbearable and I am hard of hearing on account of working 30 years on the railroad. It is so loud that they furnish earplugs. No mention of this in their add.
