Do not be fooled by pictures. This location is pretty dated and the inside does not match with what is displayed. The pool is very small and looked a bit dirty and cloudy when we were there. The picture is definitely staged to make it appear bigger and better than it truly is. NOISY! The noise was atrocious. Even just conversations and movement seemed elevated due to the way the layout of the building is. We were next to or near someone who decided to just play loud thumping music until late into the night. I called the front desk to complain as well as recording the sounds from inside the room to show just how loud it was and went to the front desk. They made it seem like there was nothing they could do to stop guests from being disruptive of others. This was between 9:30 and 10 PM that I went to complain. When we complained again on check out we were told, "It was children." As if that should excuse the actions and make it acceptable. DIRTY! When we arrived at 6:30 our floor (6th) had silly string all over the floor. According to the manager on duty, they walked our floor when I complained about the noise, but at 10 PM when I walked to the front desk to complain the silly string was still there. Upon our leaving around 9 AM, it was still there. So cleaning up the mess was clearly not a concern to them either. The layout was a bit odd and only having one set of elevators on one side of the hotel was also an odd choice.

A good hotel, in a great spot for Old Town Alexandria (and the free trolley bus). Not cheap, but competitive for the area. The hotel is rather dated inside and the staff are rather hit and miss (we were not told about a number of things, from how to use the elevators - which need you to use your keycard, to the entitlement of free, albeit not very good, beers during 'Happy Hour'.... etc etc.), but I would visit again. Room sizes are good and a great tourist location.

The property is located in front of the Metro system which makes going to DC and main DC attractions very easy and also there is a Wholefoods near the hotel thar closes late. The breakfast was oustanding. The room looks a little bit deteriorated for ththe price that we paid. The sofa was with unstitched fabric,the center table was broken,the water stoppage in the shower was also broken and did not work. The wallpaper had a lot of broken areas. I think that I was overcharged for the quality of the room they provided us.
