Booked double room with sea view got back room with a bed stuck up against the wall i had to crawl up the bed to get in or out. Toilet was to small could not fit a hand basin in had to walk across room to shower cubicle to wash hands with a soap dispenser that covered a quarter of the sink. Milk and suger there first day but wernt replaced. Had to sit on bed no other seating. Walls thin you could have been in the next room with them. Back door would not lock so no security.
The room was very small, a wire running from window seat into the wall was a tripping hazard every time you went to get into the bed. The window was filthy, the floors were dirty, tap was running in bathroom, light in bathroom didn’t work. Housekeeping was apparently done each day; two days in a row our dirty cups and glasses were not touched, no vacuuming was done, the bed wasn’t even straightened properly. A disappointing stay at this accommodation.
Large windows made room too hot with no way to cool it down.
Sink was about 200 cms wide.
Bed was two singles with one uncomfortable mattress (old).
One window blind broken.
No breakfast in price.
Chairs very uncomfortable.
the (town) was lovely, the (occult) sea is the most delightful sea to encounter and a swim in it has great health giving properties, there is also a pool by the sea, if (you) prefer. The chambermaids were very nice and helpful, with a relaxed approach, if (you) meet with (them), and the room itself was rather like a ships cabin design. The television didn't work very well, luckily (I) don't watch it,don't have one at (home).

Fantastic sea view, nice room but rather small. The mattress on the bed was really uncomfortable, we told the man at reception when we left.
Great for a couple of nights if the bed was better.

Small room at back of property not for us at that price
Property was in a nice area with amenities close by.
This property has no parking and the only none pay parking is along the front and in four nights we only managed to park there once.
The room was ok but shower and toilet very ivery small, and did not mention the stairs, very hard to get suitcase to room
The room i stayed in was doesn't deserve 1 star hotel grading; 1. Not safe because there is no warning on 1 step drop on entering the room, sooner or later someone will brake their hip.2. The bed is old, worn out, very very noisy on sitting and turning in bed. 3. Property managed via another nearby hotel where reception is closed every time i approached morning or evening. 4. Pieces of visible paper has not been picked up, so not sure about hoovering in 3 days; no shampoo or shower gel OR a soap in tiny bathroom. 5. Floor, windows in need of renovations.
We had a wonderful room upstairs directly across from Mount Bay with fantastic views of the area. The location was excellent for exploring the town. Steve and his staff were very helpful in providing an extra key, coffee, and light bulb for one of the lamps. We had a relaxing stay.

Very Basic Single Room
Single room was very basic: only furniture a bed, which was comfortable, and a narrow wardrobe, but no chair or drawer space; there were also shelves above a radiator. No bedside lamp or wall light above bed and the switches for the main light and a wall late over the radiator shelf were both about 1.6m from the edge of the bed – very inconvenient when I went to the loo during the night, I hadn’t brought a torch. The main light switch was about 0.6m from the door and just beyond a steep step down, awkward when entering in the dark – Once, I almost stumbled down the step when reaching for the light switch which was higher up the wall than usual.
I stayed for a week, room was cleaned and bin emptied daily except for one day when nothing had been touched when I returned. Tea and coffee supplied but only 5 teabags and 6 cartons of UHT milk; they were not replenished until I asked for more after I’d run out of milk. (I used two cartons a day, which I don't regard as unreasonable.) No fresh towels were provided during the week.
The property is close to Penzance train station and bus station (about 15 minutes walk) with a number of restaurants within walking distance as well as a good view of the shore. The room was clean and worth the price. I will recommend.
Room was too different from what we have seen on hotels.com website. There was one very small window and could only see the dirty roof. It was room No.2. Mugs were not cleaned properly.

Great location, clean room.
Room was on the small side.
The property exceeded our expectations - a lovely friendly welcome at check in and the room was compact but perfect for purpose and with spectacular sea views. Room amenities from tea and coffee to great towels and comfy bedding all meant it was a great find and I would recommend. Great local dining options close by within 5 mins walk.
The place is simple and convenient. The rooms face the sea and there's a road in front of it the building so sometimes you can hear traffic but other than that the place was fine and there were no problems. The staff are friendly and helpful and are a few doors away at the Lugger Inn.
Could be cleaned on daily basic with filling up the tea and coffee facilities. Could be equipped with a small fridge. And a bit of expensive rate (£85/ per night) for this part of season ( end of September), as a guest house rate. In generally very pleased and satisfied with our stay.
