Definitely just paying for the location, which is awesome. Restaurants right there, lake across the road. The hotel itself has seen better days. Shower water temperature fluctuated constantly, bed was too soft and lifts looked very run down. While the staff were friendly, we weren't given any info regarding breakfast being included or wifi details when we checked in.

We enjoyed are stay at the Novotel Rotorua. It has a great central location with many options for dining walking distance from the hotel. The breakfast buffet was great, as are the thermal hot baths and swimming pool!

Comfortable bed, great location, the room was clean, although bathroom needs an upgrade. Disappointed the pool/spa wasn’t open the whole time we were there. Apart from the lady who checked us in, the rest of the staff have an attitude as if everything’s too much effort.

Check in took a long time. Room has an empty conditioner bottle, room temp set to 15 degree, hot pools were either just part luke warm or scorching hot, our jug smelt rotten with floaties in it - was replaced fairly promptly . Ironically the "call helpdesk" button on the phone was broken so we had to call room service instead. Breakfast was good. Location is awesome.

Good value for money
Lovely buffet breakfast. So much to choose from. Nice staff who are efficiently working in the breakfast area.trying to tend to your needs. In the room the toilet bwas a bit dated but overall excellent stay and lovely hotel.
