Dogs barking, the place smelled. My door to the room wouldn't open, had to kick the door to get it to open. Maintenance fixed but by the time we left it was not opening correctly, just from the outside getting in. Going out no problem jamming. Always a strong odor of marijuana in the hallways and a some in the elevators. The elevators were not clean at all. Will never stay again!!

My husband has been coming to this hotel at least once a year for over 17 years, and it's always been his favorite spot in Atlantic Beach. While the staff remains great—polite, professional, and welcoming—unfortunately, we've noticed the hotel is becoming quite run down. The room we stayed in had a strong moldy smell that gave us a headache, and we even had to kill a roach in the bathroom on our first night. For the price, we expect a certain level of cleanliness and quality from a DoubleTree Hilton, which just wasn't there this time. We hope this place can be revamped soon because it's always held a special place in our hearts.

The accommodations were satisfactory in terms of cleanliness, and the staff demonstrated a commendable level of assistance. However, there was a minor inconvenience encountered with the patio door, as it required significant effort to open and close.
