Belle maison pour vacances en famille dans la nature. Idéal pour se reposer et se ressourcer!
Publié le 3 août 2023 sur HomeAwayUne belle semaine où nous avons pu alterner balades et temps de détente dans la maison de Tina. Nous avons trouvé de bons jeux de société et apprécié le panier de basket et le barbecue . Tout était prévu également pour notre petite fille de un an et c’était très agréable. Une biche et son faon vivent près de la maison. Quel plaisir de les admirer!

Rozenn, so glad you enjoyed the many aspects of Bass Hbr/MDI and my home. I tried to think of something for everyone and super glad that the Basketball hoop was enjoyed. I am excited, as I've missed my deer family, that you got to see momma and her twins. I opened the door, while cleaning, and saw them off the deck! It is a special place and glad you had a great stay! Come again. Tina

Very clean property

So glad you had a good stay. Visiting the lighthouse can be a zoo. I enjoy a10 minute walk over battling for a parking place anyday.

Peaceful, spacious retreat
Publié le 15 août 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat rental! Our family of 5 had plenty of room to relax and we had everything we needed in a lovely setting. The house was clean and well stocked. There is plenty of deck space and we enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy the peaceful backyard. It was nice to be so close to the lighthouse and a few easy trails (Wonderland and Ship Harbor). The Seawall picnic area is close also and a nice place to take in the view.
While the drive to other popular Acadia spots is about half an hour, that was fine with us and we were glad to be staying on the quiet side of the island away from the crowds. There are some good restaurants close by- Archie’s was the best for amazing lobster rolls and a nice setting!
We had good communication from the owner and everything was smooth! We will recommend this place to others.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your time in the spacious home, the things of Acadia that are near by and the decks with big back yard . Thank you for recommend us to your family/friends. Please come again. There will be a new back deck added spring of 2025.

Very comfortable, restful house in great location

Just minutes away from Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Wonderland Trail, great lobster restaurants. We enjoyed being on the "quiet side" if Mt Desert Island. But all the sights on the other side of the island were an easy drive and we were able to visit them, too. Loved the backyard firepit/chairs, bedroom configuration, well equipped kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean. We visited during a spell of particularly hot weather and we did appreciate the house's fans. If you come during hot temps, you may wish to consider bringing additional small fans for comfort. We highly recommend this house for an Acadia visit, particularly since the host provided use of a park pass!

Glad you found the home readily available to the close Acadia sites on the quiet side and the short drive to Bar Harbor convenient. At your suggestion I am purchasing two more box fans so that each bedroom can have their own fan in the evening. Rare is the day that the ocean breeze doesn't cool the house down. Thank you for staying at my home, hope you will come again!

Good location and lots of space

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and found the house w/plenty of room. Walking to the Lighthouse is much easier than finding a parking place. Sorry the weather wasn't the best but glad you were able to enjoy the firepit.

Great for a family vacation!

The porch is beautiful and we really enjoyed just sitting out enjoying the sounds on the quieter side of the island. There was even a family of deer who came through several times. Short walk to the Bass Head Light and right on the Island Explorer route.

I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay. Watching the deer is special, walking to the Lighthouse is easier than finding a parking place, and hope you'll come back and see our new back deck (2025). Yes, the Island Explorer let's you enjoy the scenery, not parking hassle and pick up is just around the corner at the Bass Hbr. Campground. Come again and enjoy the quiet side!

Great location and wonderful house
Publié le 11 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was away from the crowds but close enough to be convenient. It was perfect for our multifamily group and really felt like we were in Maine. The house is in a quiet area with lots of woods and away from any crowds, but easy to get to the activities and places we wanted to visit. It was the perfect balance of the what we wanted for our Maine trip. It was family friendly, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again on our next trip.

I love the island but thankful that my place is on the quieter side. You are right that it's still convenient and there is plenty to do in the neighborhood (tours and trails). Glad the house met your multifamily group and your trip to Maine was what you hoped it would be. Look forward to you coming back!
