Stay at Chetola
Publié le 29 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayCondo was just what we needed for a quiet Thanksgiving away! Clean and cozy. The only small issue I had is that the oven runs very cold. It took 45 mins instead of 25 to cook cinnamon rolls and I had to raise the temp from 350 to 425.

Great getaway
Publié le 26 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a very nice and spacious condo that had everything we needed. The bed was beautiful with high quality linens. The kitchen had everything needed to make a good meal. The wood burning fireplace was perfect for evenings after hiking or strolling downtown.

Heart of Chetola - close to town & includes all amenities
Publié le 19 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful well appointed & spacious condo in the heart of Chetola - this condo is in a great private location, close enough to walk to town and all around the resort. Very clean and very comfortable, did not feel like a “rental”. The condo even had toys & games for our children and we loved the wood burning fire place. Blowing Rock is gorgeous in the fall and we enjoyed all the amenities Chetola offers - fishing in the lake catching rainbow trout, swimming in the indoor pool, and fire pit by the lake. We have stayed at Chetola many times and this was one of our favorite stays!

Stunning Resort!

Thanks for your stay, Amy! I know you had intended to come for App State’s family weekend and with the awful devastating flooding, it turned out to be a rescue missions vs a vacation.
Thankfully Chetola has been spared from the worst of it and has experienced very minimal disruption (internet outage mainly). It has been a blessing that the resort has actually been able to house the first responders and rescue teams as we are one of the few operational places with power and water.
Once we get past the emergency situation, the businesses in the to area are going to need support to survive and tourism is one of the biggest industries here . So eating at local restaurants, shopping at local stories, and visiting local attractions will be needed to sustain these communities and allow them to continue to be the charming and beautiful places they have been for hundreds of years.
I appreciate you being a part of that community to support the local businesses and Chetola which is why I invited you to return when we get back on our feet for a complimentary stay since you were unable to enjoy your first stay. Hopefully you will be part of the community who will revisit the area and infuse the local businesses with your support!

Weekend Getaway
Publié le 30 août 2024 sur HomeAwayLoved the location. The condo was nice. The shower in master bath has mold, the condo smelled musky and the bedding in single beds was uncomfortable. The master bed was very nice. Love Blowing Rock and would definitely stay at Chetola Resort again.

You stayed with us prior to Hurricane Helene and just before you arrived, the housekeeper had the screen door open to enjoy the mountain air. When you open the door on a summer day, it will immediately trigger the Ecobee to display a message that said high humidity which you saw and interpreted that to mean there was a musty smell which you messaged me about me about the humidity message. For many people who have basements, humidity gets associated with mold or mildew in their minds.
I happened to do a quality check right after housekeeping left (30 minutes prior to your arrival) and there was zero smell in the unit and absolutely no mold in the master bath.
I explained to you how the Ecobee works. We took a beach trip recently and as soon as we opened the patio door, it showed that same message. I am not sure why you still continued to believe something was wrong but the guest who stayed after you said it was extremely clean.
Anyway, we hope you will return to the area in the future and support the community! Thanks!

Outstanding condo

The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. I had a great experience staying there and would definitely rent it again.
