Fabulous house
Publié le 28 déc. 2021 sur HomeAwaySuch a great house! Favorite spot was the outdoor fireplace on the back porch. Great experience every time we went into Blowing Rock - wonderful people. Short trip to Grandfather Mountain. Worth it! Even just the trails in our neighborhood were delightful…

Beautiful home in peaceful surroundings
Publié le 24 mai 2021 sur HomeAwayThis is our 2nd visit to Blue Bird Cottage and it did not disappoint. The home is exquisitely decorated with lots of thoughtful creature comforts. We spent most of our vacation at the house and enjoyed the amenities of the Sweet Grass community including hiking and fishing every day.

Perfect Mountain House!

The house is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and well-stocked with everything needed for cooking and baking. The neighborhood is gorgeous. Lots of walking trails, streams, and nature. Close proximity to restaurants and shops, yet far enough away to feel like a true getaway.
We're already planning our next visit!

Perfection Found!
Publié le 8 mars 2021 sur HomeAwayThis house was decorated superbly. It was cozy, comfortable and well laid out. I can't say enough nice things about it. While it's about a 15 min ride from Blowing Rock, it's located in a beautiful, new neighborhood setting. We walked on a trail alongside a creek, popping out by a small lake. It was serene.

Exceeded our expectations!

Rental agency was slow getting back to us on the use of the indoor fireplace (gas logs with no directions....although easy once they responded) thus we didn't get to use them the first night and day. Minor in regard to the stay. The house is great with fantastic kitchen (well stocked with cooking utensils) and the bathrooms were first class in regards to bathtub, showers, closet space, etc... Neighborhood was quiet and great for walks and spending time walking the creek trail. Convenient to the Parkway and easy ride to Blowing Rock on Shulls Mill Rd. Beautiful fun drive that allowed us to see pretty scenery without taking the highway. I could not rank this house any higher! Just fantastic!
