Publié le 10 août 2022 sur Hotelslovely hotel situated 5 minutes walk from the center of Bury St Edmunds.Bedroom nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. Difficult to dry hair as no plug in the bathroom and no mirror in the bedroom!! Unfortunately we were in a front bedroom which is on the main road!! very noisy from 7.am

Easy check in, on first impression room was a good size , bed comfortable , bathroom the toilet looked like it had been broken for dome time, we did message North gate to inform them along with photos, but no response , crack in toilet seat is unhygienic !
Cobwebs in the bathroom as well
Breakfast was ok
We did inform someone about the toilet seat again when we checked out

Listed as 5 stars but no staff there so no service. Difficult to get in. No breakfast until after I had to leave and no way to request it earlier so I didn't get any. Not as advertised. I would class this as 3 star at best. Very overpriced for what you get. Won't be staying there again.

Easy to book, check in and leave.
Lovely room. Large and tasteful. Comfy bed. All very clean.
Bathroom quirky and nice, good towels, sparking clean but one or two painted areas needing attention.
Breakfast was fine, staff member very pleasant.
Parking at the back was excellent but not well signposted.
Communal areas could do with update (hall/stairs, breakfast room). Stair carpet looked dirty which was unfortunate first impression.
TV remote not working (batteries?)
Location excellent.
Overall a very nice stay.
