On arrival we were advised that there would be Eskom load shedding for 2hrs from 20:00, which is nothing unusual in SA. Most unusual was to discover that no provision had been made for the convenience of guests - lamps, torches or emergency generator supplies. Fortunately we had our own torches. This was the only negative occurrence, the proprty was spotlessly clean, breakfast appetising, staff helpful and the pool and garden inviting.

Friendly stay in Franschhoek

The only gripe was that we were expecting a balcony room but instead had a rather dark room on the ground floor, not aided by load shedding at various points in the day. Breakfast was delicious, and bed was very comfy, would stay there again.

The room was lovely with a brilliant view from the balcony and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were kind and courteous and provided us with lots of useful local knowledge.
