A Smelley Vacation Nightmare

My family arrived on Friday and found the house to be quite beautiful. However, when it was time to retire for the night, none of the televisions were working due to a network issue. I promptly emailed the property manager to inform him of the situation. On Saturday morning, as my family began preparing for the day, we discovered that the upstairs bathrooms were flooding, which affected the downstairs bathrooms. I reached out to the property manager, who assured me that a maintenance technician would be dispatched to address both the plumbing and television issues. The technician arrived after 5 PM, resolved the network problem with the tv's, but informed me that the plumbing issue could not be fixed immediately and that he would need to contact a plumber. then i received a text stating that the work order was completed. I replied, clarifying that the plumbing issue remained unresolved as the tech had stated the need for further assistance. The property manager responded, stating he would follow up with the technician to ensure a prompt resolution. I awaited further communication from the property manager, but received no response. When I called the office, it was closed, Next day I was informed that a plumber will be out, he came and wasn't able to do the job because he couldn't get the property manager and left the house riped of sh!t! coming up from the showers and the issue was never resolved and was only offered 1 day refund bad vacation don't rent bad property mgmt!

Large house in Davenport, FL

Very nice home. It is equipped with all silverware, utensils and cookware. Be aware that there is not so much as a grain of salt in the home so bring and any of those items as well as kitchen garbage bags etc. There was no hot water at the kitchen sink but assume that has been rectified by now.

Bugs and Lies

The house had a horrible ant problem. The ants started in the bathrooms, and then as soon as we unpacked, they appeared all over the kitchen. The ants went into the food in the pantry. We reached out immediately and told them they would send someone, and no one came. Trying to go to the clubhouse and pool to order lunch, "The property address was on a DO Not ALLOW access" to pool. We called the booking number and they told us to use a different address. An address we were not staying at. This did not fly, with the front desk denying us access again. We messaged the rental company that we were leaving early and had no desire to stay there. I asked for a pro-rated discount, and they said, "No, we offered bug control" That was the compromise. Awful treatment as we were coming bc we were displaced from a hurricane. Please don't use this company.

Not at all luxurious, way over due a deep clean

we feel the condition of the property is disgusting and feel that the property is long overdue a very deep clean. (Photos forwarded to host for evidence) By this I mean there are stains on walls, some in toilets which obviously gets you thinking what stains these could be. There is layers of dust everywhere, the skirting boards have not been cleansed in a very long time, the extract in the kitchen just blows into the ceiling and there’s horrible residue on the ceiling and the light next to it. The vent grilles are full of dust/cobwebs and the lights in the property are thick with dust in the hall. There are fake plants scattered around the property absolutely disgusting and cover in thick dust and haven’t seen a duster in a long time and then the blind in the kitchen is thick with grime and is actually sticky to touch.

Overall good nice but very poor management and a lot of issues

The house was nice overall. We had no issues with cleanliness or comfort. There were plenty of rooms for all. Although the room we stayed in the mattress did not feel high end. The main issue we experienced on this trip was that we lost power and had to switch over to a new house mid stay. This was not due to a power outage. This was only affecting this home, which seemed pretty odd to us. The management company did not communicate with us very well, and the power ended up coming back on AFTER we switched homes. This took us several hours, we lost food because it went bad and cut into our precious vacation time. It was such a headache! Although the new house was nice and accommodating moving home mid stay was not ideal and not something you should have to do on a vacation. We also had issues first accessing the clubhouse, being denied access because of something the home owner needed to address. We got in contact with them and they provided a new address to use at the clubhouse, but again it was another headache. Loading everyone up and then not being able to get in until we called the management company. Tons of light switches did not work. No instructions on basic things like what/where to take trash, how to even find things like the trash or the community center. I would probably stay again at this house if the management company was different.

Terrible management by Wonder Homes

The property suited our needs perfectly, but we had problems dealing with the management. On day 1, we reported that the only lamp in one of the bedrooms was broken. It was never repaired/replaced. On day 2, we discovered that we had 7 forks in house that sleeps 14. We reported it and the response asked if we wanted it addressed immediately or after we left. Really? On the day we left, we still had no forks. While at the airport for our flight home, we were notified that it would be another 6 days. Unacceptable! We had a party house next door. The music blasted until 3 AM. Wonder Homes provided a phone number and email address for reporting noise to an overnight patrol - both were invalid. We were instructed that upon checkout, we were to dispose of trash in a community dumpster. There was no indication where to find the dumpster. There was no reply to the 2 voicemails and 3 emails we sent. It is unfortunate that the owner of such a nice property has to deal with such poor management.

Great cousins getaway

The house was big with enough bedroom ans bathrooms for our group of 8 but could hold up to 14. It was clean with just minor cosmetic upgrades that need ro be made due to wear and tear. The only thing that became a little annoying was getting in the gate the gate QR scan did nit work had to call the gate each time ro open.

I will check with the gate since it is managed by the guards on site and that is a third party company, but it should have worked. Did you by any chance use the smaller gates on the side of the resort? If so, then this for the owners

Nice house, a few problems

Unfortunately we had a few problems that soured the experience: we (9 of us) turned up to the Oasis club to enjoy a swim/gym only to be refused entrance at the door (which was very embarrassing). The staff informed us it was due to unpaid bills by the owners. The second problem was coming home after a long day at the theme parks to a very hot house with no power (all other properties on the street had power? Possibly more unpaid bills?): this resulted in $200 of food we had to throw away in the refrigerator! To the credit of “wonder vacations management” After a few frantic phone calls both these issues were rectified quickly, which I commend them for. The house itself is a good size and easily accommodated 9 guests. Suggestions for improvements: larger towels in darker colours, more patio chairs. You may also have an ant issue in the refrigerator?

I genuinely apologize that you had this loss of power and we are thankful for your patience. Dark colors can bleed color hence we provide white towels which has no chance to color bleed. Also the patio chairs recommendation will be sent to the owner and pest control will be done for ants issue. Great getaway place

The place was great, pool may needed some attention before we arrived but the heated portion was taken care of after management was told. Communication was daily and the area was nice and safe feeling.

Girl's Weekend

This house was just perfect for our group! Communication was great. And beautifully decorated. The power went out and the response was quick and efficient. The only issue was that there is a bush covering the address on the house, so it was a little tricky to find and the gate codes could be a little finicky, but overall a great stay! I would recommend to anyone!
