What a great place!
Publié le 12 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a most enjoyable time at Greg’s cabin. The lake and the surroundings take you away from everyday life. And Greg was the most accommodating host we’ve ever encountered, offering us the use of anything on the property. We will be back!

How many people can "stay" at the property

There are actual beds for 6 people, the rest would need to sleep in the loft, couch recliners, mattresses on the floor, or on a futon. The loft is too small for adults to be able to climb up/down the steps in order to sleep up there.
Everything else on the property was great and Greg was really easy to work with. I would recommend this place to others.

We have slept adults in the loft for 45 years. I am 67 years old and still get up and down the stairs without a problem; however, I realize there are some folks that might not be able to. I admit the stairs are steep but if someone finds them too steep for access then it would be best if they do not use them. We state in the details of the cabin there are two bedrooms, and a loft. One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed and the other is equipped with a queen size bed and a set of twin size bunk beds. We also spell out there are two twin beds in the loft and two twin mattresses. Although it is not stated in the property description, the "twin mattresses" in the loft include a mattress and box springs. I will admit, it would be tight for someone over six feet to sleep on the "twin mattresses" due to the steep ceiling but there are other sleeping options. Except for access issues to the loft and/or by choice, we do not believe it is necessary for anyone to sleep on the couch recliners or the futon. Itasca County is currently working on a short term rental ordinance that will affect the rent of our cabin. Based on the current language in the draft ordinance, we likely will be reducing the allowed occupancy of the cabin. I should also state that during our recent guests stay, I did have a lot of stuff stored in the loft that may have presented the lack of sleeping space issues. Feedback is always good because it makes us be more attentive to our guests needs.

2023 summer vacation

Family get-away

Peaceful getaway on the lake
Publié le 20 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayFirst off, Greg was a great host, he made sure that we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. The cabin itself is very cozy and welcoming. The location is perfect, it’s very private, with awesome views of the lake throughout the property. The cabin also has everything you need if you forget something, or if you don’t have your own kayaks, canoes, etc. We will definitely remember our stay and may find our way back there again!

Water very clear, we did not swim. We kayaked and canoed and had a fun time.
