Publié le 16 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was not up to Jetty East's standards. The kitchen lacked a frying pan, and measuring cups. There was only a 1 cup measure. The bathroom had a walk in shower, which we prefer but the outer door frame was damaged and it was off the track.
We have been staying Jetty East for more that 25 years. This was the first time we used VRBO.

I am truly sorry for your disappointment.
When cleaning the unit I did locate two additional frying pans in the oven drawer so I will ask for our cleaners to be more mindful of where cookware should be placed.
I will also purchase more measuring cups and maintenance has already fixed the shower door. Maintenance did try to fix it during your stay but I couldn't get ahold of you and you weren't inside the unit. I wish I had had the chance to make your stay more enjoyable.

Great location & pool with beach access but not updated.
Publié le 13 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayTitle of the this condo listing is misleading. Not a Wow or updated condo. Bathroom fan in need of replacement very loud squeal. Also no under cabinet lighting in the kitchen along with above stove bulbs burnt out.

First, I want to apologize that our condo didn't meet expectations. I'm not sure if you have stayed at Jetty East prior to your stay, but it is one of the oldest condominiums in Destin and compared to other units, ours is updated. I will be able to fix the fan and install new microwave appliance lighting thanks to you letting me know via text message. Thank you!

I'm sorry that the property didn't meet your expectations. Reading your review, it appears that you were critiquing the condo building rather than the unit itself. Elevators at beachside condos get a lot of use especially during the peak vacation season. Occasionally they break down. When this happens, the Association does a very good job getting necessary repairs completed and returning them to operation. Unfortunately, one elevator broke down during your stay. Sorry for the inconvenience but luckily our unit is on the third of six floors.
I agree, Beach Service is expensive. In order to keep our prices as affordable as possible we don’t offer complementary beach service. Alternatively, we provide two beach chairs and an umbrella that are stored in the closet at the entry way of the unit. This not only saves our guests money, but it also allows them the freedom to use them on the beach whenever they choose rather than be locked into the 9:00am – 5:00pm timeframe provided by the Beach Service vendor. We’ve found this to be a great way for our guests to maximize beach time during their vacation.
Sorry if this didn’t work for you. We try to provide an opportunity for our guests to have a great vacation. I hope these issues didn’t affect yours too badly.

The unit was great for what we needed, the beach was gorgeous, and we enjoyed ourselves on our very first trip to Destin. Comfy bed, clean condo, great view, quiet building, incredibly easy access to the beach, and easy communication with the manager when needed. No negatives to report!
