All show and no go. A fake palace. remnants of an old palace were attached here and there to make it look authentic, but it was clearly cinder block construction, built in 2000.
Everything looked luxurious. A bathtub, but no hot water. A huge dining room with one tour group and a couple of other guests, yet there's a wait staff of 5 men hovering around our table being awkward, pretending to be a high end restaurant. It's depressing. The internet also was too weak to use and the staff at the front desk barely spoke english when we called down. For $70 a night not including breakfast, we at least expected to be able to take a bath or shower. the bed was great though, the room quiet and they brought a heater when we asked for it. very comfortable room.

Swinging beds from a 1001-nights tales

Publié le 17 août 2015 sur HotelsLocated just next to the magnificent Jain temple in Ranakpur, the Fateh Bagh is a great choice. The hotel is an old havelli that has been removed from northern Rajasthan and moved to Ranakpur. The result is really quite nice and the hotel is very well organized. The food is great, the breakfast buffet is wonderful and the staff is attentive. We visited on an indian holiday and the pool was filled with a dozen Indian kids on holiday with their families. Noisy but festive on this occasion. The rooms are pleasant and modern and the gardens are lovely.
