coastal cottage charm
Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayPerfect location! Private, quiet, and quaint. Seals and minke whales spotted from the front porch! The kitchen was well-equipped and the furnishings were cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Publié le 27 août 2022 sur HomeAwayCan only say it was a great week...house was clean and supplied with all the kitchen items we needed. Full refrig was great as we bought most of our food for the week. Furniture and Bed was very comfortable. Decks were the best!! No internet but our cell phone did work to our surprise.
Low Tide we could walk the beach for quite a ways-found lots of sea glass...kayaked...walked in the water by the shore. Only bummer we didn't build a fire on the beach but kindling etc was provided! Amazing to have them provide that!!
Great week and hope to return someday!

Publié le 10 oct. 2020 sur HomeAwayThis house is a naturalist's dream: wildlife, birds of all kinds, seals. The house is alone on the water's edge and is only feet from the water at high tide. It would be hard to find anything more private and special. We loved it!
Small comments about the house itself: the kitchen is stocked pretty well, but needs a few baking pans. It definitely needs a dish draining rack and an appropriate-sized trash basket under the sink if four people were there. There were only two of us and it was tiny and quickly filled! Appliances were great. Living room could use another reading lamp. The spiral staircase was a surprise and surely not for everyone as it is steep. Oddly, at the top of the stairs there is a wide-open space to the side of the staircase where a child or sleepy adult wandering to the bathroom at night could fall straight down the side of the staircase.
We appreciated the quick attention of the owner when we had a minor problem, and his respect for our privacy was noticed and appreciated. Overall, high marks. And thank you, Ross.

wonderful stay at Sea Breeze
Publié le 26 août 2020 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay at Sea Breeze, a cozy, clean and comfortable cottage right on the bay. We were looking for peace and quiet and we found it here. Ross is indeed a "super-host", making sure that we had everything we might need or want. We thoroughly enjoyed the "gator tour" - a complete tour of the property and surrounding area, including introductions to some of the local folks. We highly recommend Rossport and look forward to returning!

Beautiful but poor indoor air quality
Publié le 31 mai 2020 sur HomeAwayBeautiful home and location. However, had to leave without staying even one night due to very musty/moldy smell. If you have allergies or any breathing issues, I would not recommend you stay here.

Ahoy-Ashley....... I am very upset about the experience you encountered! I take great pride in Rossportbythesea & pour my heart & soul In my compound on a daily basis.
I wished you had reached out to me & I could have moved you to another cottage or we could have worked it out together.
What happened was I really wasn’t opened as yet & you & your husband( I welcomed him to Rossport & your dog in the front yard) said you were in the cottage, and I said well Welcome and if you need anything let me know.The cottage had been closed-up all winter & we open & cleaned it before you came ...... it should have been open-up & air-out longer..... Better yet I think we could have worked this out together....... If you would ever want to return to Rossport..... you will be my guest!!

Peace and quiet
