Super cabine historique !

Wonderful historical place with comfort

They kept some old fashioned objects but the bathroom was very clean and very confortable mattress- We stayed in a room in the old building. Very friendly and helpful staff.We had a flat tire, they help us to fix it and reniflante it to be able to go until the garage... beautiful situation next to a river with view on mountains! I'll come back

Isabelle, thanks so much for the review and kind words. I’m really glad we were able to rescue you and your husband from putting that silly doughnut spare on the car. Hopefully you did not need it again during your travels. Dawson, the mechanic, let me know that he was able to patch up the tire so that you could get to Palmer or Anchorage, but ultimately it would have to be replaced. Sorry about that. I think you started a trend of French travelers passing our way. You were the second French family that we had seen all summer, and now we have seen three more stop in during the past week. It was my pleasure to serve and chat with you at dinner, and I hope you enjoyed the barbecue. Please come back and see us if you make it back to Alaska, and we’ll get you, your husband, and the girls out on a river trip or a nice adventurous hike…much better than days in the car and flat tires. Thanks again for the review, and please don’t hesitate to let us know what we can do better to make your stay next time even better.

The place was falling apart. The cook was unavailable so the shut down the entire restaurant with a hand written note on the door they would be closed for 2 days. Our room had two doors that were not secure. The entire place was trashy. We checked out a day early, even if we loose the 2nd nights expense, I felt it better to leave.

Hello David. Thank you for your honest review. We're disappointed that your stay was less than expected. Yes, the lodge is in need of some repair and since we just bought the lodge last season we are working to make those repairs happen. Your room does have two doors. The second has been blocked off which leads into the lodge kitchen. Your main door has a skeleton key that you are able to lock from the inside or outside. We're terribly sorry that your stay fell on the only 2 days our cook was unavailable to work for us. Although I'm disappointed in the wording you chose to describe our lodge, I would have to strongly disagree. We are a rustic, historic lodge and we pride ourselves on having clean rooms in our establishment and we enjoy sharing this historic site with others. We do hope that you found accommodations more suited to your taste while staying in this wonderful state of Alaska

Very old. As expected. Lodge was nice. Shared bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. Guy across the hall snored so bad

Hi Wendy! So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I do apologies for the snoring. We do have a small container in the hall with earplugs for those who are light sleepers and eye masks for those who aren't used to the light at night here during the summer.

Just need to remember you share a bathroom with others staying there. Bathroom is clean and nice not very good pressure. The beds are squeaky.

Rustic property
Publié le 21 juill. 2024 sur HotelsThis is a rustic property. The owners are very nice and helpful. It’s nice to have a restaurant on site, but it’s not inexpensive. The cabin itself is old and very tired, but the bathroom was remodeled which was good. It was nice to be right on the river
