Cute pub, not great for Gatwick travellers.
Publié le 3 août 2024 sur HotelsThis is a very cute pub. However it is not really appropriate for people travelling from Gatwick. Breakfast is not available until 8 so if your flight leaves before noon you will go hungry. The evening I arrived their kitchen was down and the closest pub is a significant cab ride away. The staff member that greeted me was very kind and suggested breakfast at 7:30 but that did not happen. I left disappointed by the lack of service. Also the pub is on a very busy, noisy road.

Really good, but road noise detracts
Publié le 26 juin 2024 sur HotelsNice, well appointed room away from the pub, but the room opened into the pub garden and the roads on all sides are pretty busy / noisy, be aware.
The breakfast was excellent.
The staff were lovely, but this is not a spot for a quiet retreat.

this is the third time that we have stayed here the restaurant service and accommodation are all great and all the staff are lovely

Great pub/hotel with the rooms being in converted outbuildings. Service was great as was the food and drinks.
Room was comfortable with no problems from pub garden noise. Bathroom could have been cleaner and the shower door didn’t quite work.
We’d stay again.
Perfect for a overnight before a Gatwick flight or channel crossing
