Amazing cabin and close to snowmobiling!
Posted Mar. 13, 2023 on HomeAwayMike and Melissa are amazing to work with and very responsive! The cabin was perfect for our family, everything you would need and so much more! We snowmobiled right from the cabin and loved every minute we spent in the mountains and at the cabin. After a long day of riding snowmobiles it was nice to come back and relax in the hot tub. It is far enough away from everything but close enough to go to restaurants or grocery shopping. We will definitely stay here again!

Sundance Birthday Weekend
Posted Jan. 24, 2023 on HomeAwayThis cabin was booked because of it's location and proximity to Park City, Utah. Our group consisted of adults who were a mix of family and friends. The cabin was fantastic and met all of our needs. It feels as if your staying in a cabin that has been in the family for years! Except, it is up to date in all amenities and furnishings. This is truly a place where you feel as if you are miles away from everything, but really only a short drive from some stunning activities. We sent to the Ice Castles, tubing at Solider Hollow, and the Sundance Film Festival. One of our favorite experiences was dinner at Cafe Galleria. The host is hands-on and easy to reach with questions. We highly recommend the cabin for family and/or work orientated gatherings.

Amazing experience
Posted Jan. 9, 2023 on HomeAwayStaying at Mike's Cabin was truly an unforgettable experience for both my family and myself. Mike was extremely accommodating and responsive to any inquiries we had. The Cabin is beautiful, well stocked, clean and the attention to little details throughout the cabin is second to none. Many core memories created there. Highly recommend it, especially if you have children.

Great Place!
Posted Aug. 8, 2022 on HomeAwayThis was such a great place to spend the weekend as a family. It was nice to have the TVs and wifi but there were enough fun activities that they weren't even necessary. Well stocked cookware in the kitchen and the hosts were so helpful with any questions we had. We'd definitely come back here

A peaceful and much needed time to get away and reconnect with my family in a beautiful neighborhood
Posted Jul. 31, 2022 on HomeAwayThe cabin was fully equipped, very cleaned and cared for. It felt like home right away. The responsiveness of the owner was immediate when and if we needed assistance. I would definitely bring my family back. The property around it in particular a neighbor’s home, was not as well cared for and was not as pretty but the walks and runs throughout the place made up for it. I would definitely come back and keep making memories with my adult children. Thank you!!!

Family Thanksgiving Getaway
Posted Dec. 2, 2021 on HomeAwayBeautiful cabin! We especially loved the hot tub, the outdoor pizza oven, all the games for the kids.......and the wildlife. Grandkids loved trying to spot all the deer outside! All of us (7 adults and 4 children) had plenty of room to hang out and enjoy our Thanksgiving, without tripping over each other! We all had fun exploring the "hidden" treasures in the cabin. Absolutely great experience! Our only issue was the oven. We set off the smoke alarm the first time we used it. Apparently it must have had some greasy residue left inside. Oops!
Regardless, we highly recommend staying here. Mike is a fantastic host.....very personable, a wealth of information and willing to make your stay the best experience you will have.

Overall, a nice extended weekend.
Posted Jul. 9, 2021 on HomeAwayLet's start with the positives. The cabin has a very rustic feeling and has many little antiques and surprising details in the decor that were fun to look at. We loved that it was higher up in Timber Lakes and didn't have much traffic going by. It was quiet and peaceful and actually felt like it was a real cabin instead of a house with a few wood walls. We loved watching the occasional animal roam by. We enjoyed the game tables in the main living area on the main floor but wished there was more comfortable seating other than around the table. There was plenty of space, even floor space, for our adult college-aged children to sleep and plenty more if we had littles around. But having the main living space be filled with game tables and the living room furniture upstairs didn't work well for us. We loved the gigantic wood table in the kitchen that provided plenty of space for games and food.
The negatives are minor things that might be considered personal preference but the beds were all very hard and uncomfortable if you are used to a medium firm to soft bed. We didn't enjoy the great big window in the master bathroom that opens up to the living area down stairs. Even with blinds on it, you can't help but feel very exposed. I couldn't get myself to shower in there over worry that I was giving everyone a little show. We also were not fond of the side room with the hammock that is connected to the master and is open to the room below. We felt like we couldn't use the bathroom without it echoing out over the room. The washing machine has a very bad musty smell in it that made our clothes and towels smell that way. We know the owner can't change the HOA restrictions but it seems like there has bieen a big change which eliminated much of what we were planning to do. Every hike we went on was short, blocked by private property signs, and there were so many rules about ATVs and all of the things you can't do (like fish in small lake). Part of this was due to the drought right now, but it is also because there isn't much public space left in Timber Lakes and the HOA has become so strict, I wouldn't personally buy a cabin in Timber Lakes even though 5 years ago I wanted to do so. We had very little activities outside that were not restricted so we were inside most of the day. We did get to play games and watch movies and eat so it was still a successful weekend. Thank you to Mike for trusting us with taking care of your home.

Nice place to stay
Posted Jun. 30, 2021 on HomeAwaya very nice secluded place to stay, kind of has a quirky feel to the place. Seems a little old and getting well used, it worked well for us and everyone had a blast. There is lots of fun games and loved the yard to see all the wildlife
