Dream vacation home!

Beautiful waterfront home located on Lake Avalon. 85' of lake frontage available for use. Lake Avalon is one of the cleanest lakes in Michigan. There are no steps down to the beach plus there is great views of the lake from the tower that overlooks the lake. There are 4 kayaks, 1 paddle board and 1 paddle boat. There is a screened porch attached to the master bedroom to enjoy the amazing sunrise and sunset each day. There are 2 fully functional kitchens, sauna, theater room and pool table all available as well.

A Wonderful Place for the Family to Gather
This home was perfect for our 11 adults + 2 kids with room to spare. The 2 full kitchens are great--both are well-stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, baking dishes, tableware, flatware, coffee makers, & microwaves. Bring your own plastic wrap, Ziploc bags, etc. For those with mobility issues, coming into the house from the driveway through the garage, you are on the lowest level, which has 3 bedrooms, a bathroom (toilet, sink, shower, sauna), kitchen with stools where you can sit at the island, family room (pool table, fireplace, chairs, table w/ 4 chairs), theater room, and access to the lake. To get to the main level, you have to go up a flight of carpeted steps which are built between two walls (last 2 steps are taller), but there is no handrail, which makes it difficult if you rely on one. You can get to the main level from the driveway by climbing about a half dozen wooden steps, for which there is a railing, and taking the walkway to the door. The main level has a living room, kitchen, dining room (seats 8), access to deck on lakefront side of house, master bedroom (full bath w/ shower and freestanding tub, fireplace, TV, access to exercise area), a bedroom with two beds (full or queen), full bath w/ tub/shower, laundry. Only access to tower room is a circular stairway. Fire pit is nice with 2 picnic tables and multiple chairs/benches. Patio on back of house also has table/chairs. The property was very clean; owner responds promptly. Lake is beautiful!

No place like it!
Plenty of room for multiple families to spread out, EXTREMELY clean, amazing TV/game room with theatre seating, beautiful views, hosts are incredible and so responsive, nice beach (hard to find!), lake is very clean and clear with sandy bottom, stunning master suite, two kitchens, lots of space for family games or to find a quiet corner by yourself and read a book, very cool tower room and other unique features create an adventure of a trip! Oh, and fire pit with nice wooden benches! And kayaks! And SUP! Awesome!

Always Amazing
This is our 4th year staying at this absolutely amazing house with a beautiful lakefront view and beach! It accommodates my large family ranging from 62yrs to 2yrs old. Plenty of room inside and out. The inside has everything you need for your stay for cooking and preparing meals. The outside has lots of chairs and a shed full of outside toys and beach toys. There is also a nice picnic table and fire pit to enjoy singing campfire songs and making smores! The kids really enjoy the movie room when they need to relax a bit and unwind before bed. The hosts are very attentive and are there if you need anything. I’m so happy we found this place and plan on coming back to make many more happy family memories

House is great. Lake is beautiful. Owner was always available and helpful. If you’re coming to fish you probably should pick another lake. Swimming and tubing was wonderful and just what we wanted!

Great place for a big family!
The layout was perfect for everyone to have there own space. It is always difficult for our big family to stay together. Since it was November, we didn't enjoy taking a dip in the lake but the sunset off the lake was beautiful. We would definitely consider staying again.

Perfect for family vacation
Property is extremely clean with great features and amenities. Kayaks and SUP; clean and clear sand bottom lake, awesome theater/game room, pool table, two kitchens - lots of large spaces to gather as a family and large enough to have privacy and quiet time. Kids love the lake and beach. Owners are fantastic - helpful, caring, responsive, friendly. We will be returning for a third season!

This was our second time renting this property. We had so much fun together. So much space and there was nothing we lacked for. We did miss getting to use the pontoon much due to something faulty, we were really looking forward to some group rides with the littles. This is our 3rd year staying for a long weekend and my whole family loves it!! All my grandkids talk about how much fun it is and can’t wait till next year! There is so much space inside and out. Lots of beach toys, chairs, and most anything you need for outside. Inside is fully stocked with towels, kitchen stuff and plenty of room. I can’t say enough good things about it. This rental = perfection!
This was our 7th annual family trip and we've stayed at several Michigan locations and this is BY FAR our favorite stay. Our group age range is 4 to 70 and it had something for everyone. The theater room, the pool table, kayaks, paddleboat, corn hole, TONS of beach and water toys were all enjoyed by all. The house is massive and had enough space for us all to spread out which can be difficult with a group of our size. Plenty of linens, towels, two well equipped kitchens, though we really only needed to use one because it was plenty spacious and we mostly hungout on the lower level. We were a little worried about not having AC but it was a non-issue, even with highs in the upper 80s. Avalon Lake water is dream-like, perfectly crystal clear with a sandy bottom. You won't find another lake like it! Highly recommend this rental for your group!

Beautiful Up North Lake Home
Pictures do not do justice of how big and nice this house is! Plenty of stuff for all ages. I stayed up here for a winter event with a group of friends and had more than enough beds and room. I imagine summers on the lake are fun as well. I would not hesitate to book this house again for a large group.

Our extended family of 13 had a fantastic week at the Lake Avalon House. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out but still be together. The sauna, massage chair, pool table and theater room were added bonuses. Although fishing was not the greatest, everyone enjoyed the beautiful lake. Kayaking, tubing, swimming and walking in the water around most of the lake was enjoyed daily. The second kitchen especially the additional refrigerator, was a godsend as we cooked most of our meals. This was the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen in a rental. We used the firepit every night and had the pleasure of listening to the neighbor serenading with guitar and harmonica. Everyone enjoyed their stay and look forward doing it again next year.

Good times at Avalon
Easy process, good communication with owner. This was the best equipped cottage we have ever rented! Everyone had a great time and were happy with the setting and the facility. That's saying a lot when 13 people aged 22 to 77 can all be pleased. The lake is gorgeous: great for swimming and water sports. Thanks!
