Quirky Cottage
Publié le 19 août 2019 sur HomeAwayThe Old Wash Kitchen is a lovely Quirky Cottage with exposed beams and Yorkshire stone. It’s an upside down house with the living quarters on the first floor and the bedrooms on the ground. Full of character down to the bathroom which I assume was the coal cellar, you need to be careful of the door which is hobbit sized but the kids will love it. A good size for a small family holiday. Lovely comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. And above all a gorgeous view from the lounge window of the Yorkshire countryside. The property is in a pretty village in a quiet lane overlooking a stream with enough shops close by for anything you may have forgotten to take.

Quirky cottage

Lovely homely cottage
Publié le 25 mai 2019 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed our stay at The Old Wash Kitchen, the cottage is comfortable and homely, and was a good size for us as a family of 4. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It is set in a lovely quiet location, with plenty of local walks and a short drive into the peaks. The breakfast welcome pack was a thoughtful little extra and was absolutely delicious - so nice that the butter and marmalade are sourced locally. The hosts made it clear that they were there if we had any problems and needed to contact them, thankfully the need didn't arise during our stay. We would definitely recommend a stay at The Old Wash Kitchen and hope to be back again in the future.
