This is a decent hotel to stay at if you’re balling on a budget and/or don’t want to stay in Houston proper, but still want to be close enough to Houston. The area was a good split between Houston and Galveston and the cost for a 4 night stay was reasonable. The hotel itself is a bit rough. You can see where they’ve made “improvements”, but the halls smelled of mildew, paint was chipping off the walls, there were some sort of bugs plastered on our walls and a few live ones when we got to the room (didn’t see them again afterwards), the bathroom towel holder was very broken and visibly trying not to finish itself off. The pool water was…murky…but at least there was still a pool and hot tub. The beds themselves were not bad for a budget hotel and my kids and I slept comfortably enough. The breakfast was what you would expect for a continental breakfast and not awful. Staff was ok, though I didn’t really interact with them outside of check-in (dude was less than friendly) and check-out (she was great). Overall, I would stay here again if I was in the area.

I booked a room with two beds for two adults and two kids. We got to the room and it was one bed and one chaise pull out sofa. The front desk realized their error and called the room. The clerk asked us to come back down to the lobby and pick up new keys. Minor inconvenience. Stuff happens. However the AC in the new room was shoddy and loud keeping us awake all night. Not a great experience but not the worst place I’ve stayed.

Too much noise in hallways and guest on top floor. The morning person in charge of breakfast was very rude and breakfast was substandard

It had a stale smell and the hallway and elevator was hot. My room air-condition was on 75 when I got in there and it was muggy and gross feeling the whole time. The sheets felt wet. We stayed 2 nights and I wasn't happy with it so I will not be staying there again.
