Needed a professional cleaning team and repairs.
Publié le 10 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place was not clean. the floors had not been mopped in a long time and the downstairs toilet bowl was terrible, the master bathroom had soap scum on the fixtures and the grout in the tiles was dirty. the mirror was dirty and some tiles were cracked on the wall. you could see fingerprints on the door.the patio doors did not lock and the lock on the laundry room outdoor did not lock. critters came in because there were holes in the screen and one window would not close all the way. the only thing true was that it was near a beach and gated.Its not safe.the master bedroom mattress was deplorable. Laundry room had a dirty smelly spin basket. I washed my clothing by hand. main BR tub needed cleaning.

Unfortunately, this group was not respectful. The client put human excrement all over the bathroom matts, sheets, and towels and also took a towel at checkout and then threatened to leave a bad review. As you can see my other reviews, and as a premier host, I take good care of the Villa and needs of my clients very well.
I met with them previously and they said they loved the place and had zero issues.
Then I got the message they had not paid their final payment mid-stay so I let her know. Carmen finally paid and then said they were leaving a day early to sightsee in the city. She also told me my brand new King mattress was dirty and sent a link on how to clean it with baking soda. She used this as an excuse as it is in perfect condition and actually she is the one who ruined the bathroom matt and all towels. We had to throw it all out and charge an extra cleaning charge. They also refused to remove their shoes in the villa as I saw for myself and kept all the ACs running in every room when not in the Villa.
All the comments she made in her review are untrue as you can see from the successful reviews I have had over the last 12 years.
Cleanliness is 100% top priority and the floors were certainly mopped as I was there to see it. Comments regarding the cleanliness of the bathrooms and floors are untrue. They trailed in dirt by not removing their shoes inside. Critters she is referring to are geckos who live inside homes in Costa Rica which is completely normal. All the doors lock perfectly. I am unsure if they have ever traveled before but this is a developing country and it is not the United States.
Very unfortunate people who tried to stay without paying, ruin matts, towels and sheets with human poo excrement and then leave a bad review. Beware of people like this.

Location! location! location! and a great host!

Gave us a bunch of great suggestions for food, tours and local tips and advice. Megan was very quick to respond, followed up and went out of her way to make sure we had a great time! Book this property! You will not regret it.

Vacation with adult children

Better than expected!
Publié le 2 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThe condo turned out to be an ideal location; maybe 200 meters to the beach, thru a secure, gated community. The beachfront had lovely palm trees for shade, as the Costa Rican run is quite intense for us Michiganders. The place had everything we needed, and was clean. Check in/out was very easy, and the host was very responsive. It's a short walk to downtown Jaco, but seemed very safe, even at night. The host-recommended restaurants served incredible food and were reasonably priced, especially for the quality. We'll be back!

Amazing Place and Host!!!!
Publié le 24 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house is clean, spacious, and had nice balconies to sit and enjoy coffee, 1 minute to the pool and 2 to the beach. Megan was very, very helpful and gave us great information on Jaco, restaurants, tours, etc.
We felt very safe and the security crew was great. We could get a taxi within 1-3 minutes. 5-10 minutes walk to downtown Jaco. Wifi was great, the AC worked great. It was nice to have a washer/dryer as we stayed for 2 weeks. The master bed was comfy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great place - private and quiet but close to heart of Jaco
Publié le 19 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayI only got to spend 2 nights here but enjoyed every minute. The communication by the owner/manager was excellent and the Villa had everything needed for a great time. We used the pool onsite and used UBER to head into town. Directly next door to the Crocs Casino.
Would stay again!

Great host and location

The location of the villa is perfect if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the strip. Just a few minutes to everything. Megan was great. Any issues we had she rectified immediately. She helped arrange most of our activities and made certain we went with people who would keep us safe. We had a great stay at Megan's villa and plan to go straight back to it next time we're in Jaco Beach. Thanks for a great stay Megan!

Awesome property

A two minute walk and you are on the big beautiful beach! Megan was so very helpful , giving suggestions and arranging our excursions and transportation. I highly recommend this property.

Great rental villa for family!
Publié le 20 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy family and I enjoyed 2 weeks at Meg’s place. The small gated community is right on Jaco Beach, and the grounds are kept meticulously. The pool was a welcomed sight each day as well! It includes a lovely common area for sitting or playing cards as well. The villa has 3 comfortable bedrooms, all located upstairs, and a great veranda on the backside of the house. We drank coffee and watched the beautiful makaws fly in every morning, and often had wine up there in the evening. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen as we cooked and ate many meals at home, or prepped lunches to go with us on our beach trips. The house AC works very well when temps and humidity are high. Just a few feet down the beach is a great casual beachside restaurant named Clarita’s. We enjoyed their food very much! Our family highly recommends Meg’s place! We sure hope that we get back there again.

College Graduation Trip
Publié le 18 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe truly enjoyed our stay. The location of the Villa was perfect, very close (1 minute walk) to the pool and beach, which were both inviting and serene. The town of Jaco was a short 10-15 minute walk away and had excellent restaurants and shops. If you like to gamble, Crocs Casino is right next door. My son really enjoyed surfing at Jaco beach and Playa Hermosa, which was a short drive away. There is a car rental company a short walk from the Villa if you want to rent a car and explore the National Parks in the area. Our host Megan, was extremely pleasant and eager to help us in any way. She arranged our transportation to/from SJO airport and also recommended some excellent restaurants. She checked in on us during our stay to see if we needed anything and provided recommendations for a bunch of different activities, including surfing and zip lining. The Villa has three bedrooms and 2.5 baths and had plenty of room for five of us. The complex was gated and very secure. We found Costa Rica to be beautiful and the people to be warm and friendly.
