Beautiful property but short on pots and pans
Publié le 24 août 2024 sur HomeAwaythe views were beautiful and property quiet. The kitchen was missing items like baking pans for appetizers or a pizza which would have been helpful. Activities were cut short by the approaching tropical storm Hone which is scheduled to hit after check out time and may be a problem on our trip to our other half of our stsy on the Kailus-Kona side making this more of an adventure than we planned for but things happen.

Mahalo for your review, Steven & Patty. We're so sorry that your stay fell during a tropical storm. We don't get many of them but during summer months it's always a possibility. We'll have our property inspector assess the pots and pans and purchase more if needed. Appreciate the heads up!

Fantastic home!!!!

The only thing we were missing was a big table and chairs outside. The inside dining table and chairs were not very big and comfortable.

Beautiful Brilliance!
Publié le 9 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was wonderful!!! The home was beautiful, well kept, and had all we needed and more to make our vacation fantastic! We loved being on the ocean and having the sun wake us in the mornings. We viewed whales in the blue ocean from the yard or when we were seated on the porch areas. Several turtles would show up every day along the ocean wall. The home is located in a quiet area not too far from Hilo. There was a book in the house that gave info on beaches, dining, etc. That was very helpful. Comfortable beds, beautiful kitchen with all the things needed for cooking, large laundry room, and very clean, comfortable home.

Great house!
Publié le 26 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is a great place to stay if you want peace and quiet with beautiful views! My only complaint is that it’s extremely dark at night! We arrived at night and it was difficult to open the gate, get inside, and find light switches. We discussed this ahead of time, and they said they would leave lights on for us, but that unfortunately didn’t happen.

We do always recommend having a flashlight (or flashlight app) handy for after dark arrivals, Even when there is a light left on, it's still DARK here. Temple Tree Retreat - An Adventurer's Oceanfront Paradise!
Publié le 21 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis place is absolutely beautiful. The house is well maintained and has plenty of room for a large group. The outside view is one of the best on the island. Sunrise and sunsets at the house are very special. Hearing the rain, crash of the waves, and breeze from the ocean is so peaceful before going to sleep.

Overwhelmingly Perfect

From the majesty of the giant waves crashing against the lava rock cliffs, to the sound of the rainforest surrounding us with the songs of birds and frogs, it was truly the quintessential paradise that we hoped for. Loved every minute there!
