Ok on a remote location

The hotel is ok for being at such a remote place. Rooms don't get cleaned and beds made on daily basis. Food is very limites on the restaurant.

Not the GRAND Dragon, but a nice alternative

This is not Hotel Grand Dragon. Hotel Dragon is a different property run by the same company. If you are trying to book Hotel Grand Dragon, you have to book directly with the hotel. Hotel Dragon is a smaller, more basic hotel, which is still a resonalble hotel, but not as nice as the Grand Dragon a few blocks away.

Nice hotel with friendly and accommodating staff

Contre : The chatter made by guests on the balconies at all hours. Staff are aware of this issue and will move you to a quieter level, if asked.
Emplacement : 5 minute walk to town, shops and restaurants. Honest and reasonably priced shop owner across the road from hotel who had lovely scarves.
Nice, new and clean hotel with friendly, accommodating and hard working staff. Tea and cookies on arrival was a nice touch. Nice clean white linen on beds and additional pillows provided on request. Great views from balconies and outside sitting areas.

Felt safe and like at home. Staff was very kind and helpful. Hotel is well located. It was clean and well kept. Amar at the front desk was very peofessional and helpful.

Central and convenient, but not really comfort

Contre : Did not answer email when I first wrote about being picked up at the airport. But after a phone call, it all worked out OK. Get softer beds!
Emplacement : Very central and conventient.
The staff is very efficient. The location central to downtown. The (deluxe) room small. Barely enough room to walk around the beds. The bed REALLY hard... woke up sore each day. If they put you on the third floor, expect to pant your way up (altitutde). They don't do a great job cleaning every day. Sometimes you have to ask for shampoo and soap. You get TV but at least mine only had news channels. The restarant not great, but walking distance to many other options. Not a bad place, but certainly not a great one either.

Emplacement : Just minutes away from main market and downtown area.
Great location and friendly, helpful staff make the Dragon Hotel a great choice for your time in Leh. The staff helped to arrange tours with a driver to sights around Leh and had great suggestions. The food was also good at the hotel and service was excellent. Just minutes to the main market area in town you can't get a better location at a good price. Leh is a beautiful town and we enjoyed our stay very much!
