Disappointing Owner Interaction
Publié le 21 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe recently stayed at this property with our family, including children, and while we enjoyed our time, there were a few issues that affected our experience. Upon arrival, we struggled to figure out how to disable and re-enable the alarm system, which was not clearly explained. However, once we figured it out, we settled in and began to enjoy our stay.
The house itself is nice, but we did encounter a cleanliness issue. When we went into the kitchen, we found mouse droppings in the cabinets, which was concerning. We spent some time cleaning it up ourselves before using the kitchen. This was unexpected, especially since we've stayed at many VRBO properties over the years and typically haven’t had such problems.
We always make sure to clean up before we leave, and this time was no different. However, after returning home, we received a message from the owner stating that we would be charged an extra $100 for damages. He claimed there was writing on the wall and blood on one of the towels. We were surprised as we hadn’t noticed these issues during our stay. We had also purchased insurance for our trip, but the owner informed us that it wouldn’t cover the alleged damages, and we would have to pay out of pocket.
The communication was frustrating, with the owner repeatedly stating that the costs to him were higher, and he was giving us a “bargain” by only charging $100. According to him, it would cost $250 to paint the wall and an extra $150 to clean the house after we left. Whil

Unfortunately you the left the house a complete disaster. Your children drew all over the wall with ink, smeared dirt all over a white couch, and left black fingerprints on multiple walls. In addition to this you left dirty diapers out, put dirty dishes back in the cupboards, left blood on the floor and multiple towels. When I contacted you about it suddenly you decided that there were rats and wanted me to pay you. If there were in fact rats why would you have not contacted me or said something prior to being contacted about damaging the property? You admitted to the damages, but said since there was a mouse we were even, yet here you state it was a surprise.
For others looking to rent this property please look at the many wonderful reviews and please understand this was a renter who damaged the property and instead of taking responsibility made up a story of rats. As noted by the many reviews this is a well maintained newly remolded property. I can assure you there are no rats as has been described. I suffered several hundred dollars in damages and only requested a hundred dollar additional cleaning fee which he paid and admitted to the damages.

Publié le 4 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe minute you walk in you see the beautiful decorating with attention to detail in every room. The kitchen has both a Keurig for your k-pods, & a coffe pot along with basic spices, cooking oil.
The bedsheets and towels are high end with a comfy mattress.
Your close by to some new places opening up and a very short drive to any of the downtown restaurants and distilleries. Hope to stay here again if available.

Excellent Stay
Publié le 21 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis house worked out well for us while we visited family. The beds were comfortable, and there were multiple areas to sit and relax. The kitchen was well stocked with any equipment you would need if you wanted to cook. Excellent stay.
