A hidden Gem in Southport
Publié le 17 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwaySituated to the centre of Southport with lots to see and do and plenty of places to eat whether it be a restaurant or a pub.The area is very dog friendly.
The annexe is clean,comfortable, peaceful and very relaxing. Dogs are welcomed. The hosts are very friendly, helpful and approachable.

Nice cottage
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe host was very friendly on arrival and the cottage was spotlessly clean. Unfortunately we found the bed very uncomfortable and seemed quite small. The shower was either cold or boiling hot, no in between and only one hand towel for the two of us.
There was nice touches on arrival, ie fresh eggs from their hens, coffee and biscuits but limited kitchen equipment.

It is unfortunate that you found the bed uncomfortable, the mattress is medium firmness, hand made and individually pocket sprung which suits most people, however in light of your comments we intend to purchase a mattress topper for future guests if they find the bed to firm. The bed is a standard 4ft 6” double as shown on our property listing and if your are used to a king size bed it will feel slightly smaller.
We have been unable to replicate your issue with the shower. The shower is checked over and is cleaned using the hand held unit at a warm temperature, also on speaking to the present and past guests they find a setting in the middle between boiling hot and cold perfect. There are also clear instructions posted on the shower screen on how to operate the shower.
We have now added a whisk to the kitchen equipment and replaced the missing scissors.
We will always endeavour to give our guests the best experience we can, it is very unfortunate that you didn’t bring any of these issues to my attention, either by message or in person during your stay as they could have been easily remedied.

Graham and Deb were excellent hosts. Definitely one to revisit.

Short and sweet stay

Our hosts, Graham and Debbie, made us feel very welcome and they couldn't have been more helpful. The annexe itself was perfect for the two of us and our dog. It was very clean and comfortable and it had the added advantage of a beautiful and secure garden. The location was ideal because it was very quiet as we are used to living in a village. Definitely to be recommended.

CHARMING COTTAGE ANNEXE

TheAnnexe was tastefully decorated and their garden was wonderful (our dog loved running about on the huge garden.
I thoroughly recommend this property to anyone and look forward to spending another perfect and relaxing holiday here myself.

Hidden gem

Set in a peaceful location within a short drive to lots of amenities. Only 10 minutes drive to Southport sea front. Graham Deb are lovely hosts. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back
