For what we paid the room was awkward…. With the sink by the bed and the shower not I’m an enclosed room …there were cracks in t by e ceiling and cobwebs in the community space… the breakfast was very disappointing… no bacon or sausage or butter for the waffles …. We were in NH definitely expected bacon and maple syrup for breakfast …. It was more a continental breakfast:(

Awful place to stay.
Publié le 4 oct. 2021 sur HotelsThis place is going to be changing hands in 2 weeks, and you could tell the owner only wanted to fill the rooms. Terrible breakfast, spider webs everywhere, and NO tv. But he doesn’t post that so you know. The room we stayed in was very small. The shower is in the room with you, not very big either. We felt like he was watching every move you made. Wasted our money!

I regret that you did not have a completely enjoyable experience. However, what this review omits is that these guests booked the least expensive, smallest room on the property AT A DISCOUNT. The breakfast, each morning included: coffee, oj, muffins/coffee cake/pumpkin bread, fresh mixed fruit, a selection of yogurts, waffles/French toast, real maple syrup, and eggs. I was asked for the recipe for the egg dishes so most people must have liked them. With respect to the tv, we have learned that most travelers now travel with iPads or similar devices on which they have their Netflix, Hulu, HBO-Max etc and all they want is wifi, which we have. Many folks ask about the history of the B&B and so we respond that we have owned it for 22 years and no doubt wistfully remark that we may own it for only another 2 weeks. At the same time as these guests stayed with us, we had guests who have stayed with us for over 17 years and new folks who thanked us for introducing them to the Upper Valley, so we must have done something right.

I especially liked the beautiful scenery in the mountains on the border of New Hampshire and Vermont. The host was pleasant and the breakfast tasty. It was a half hour drive to and from our affair in Vermont twice a day for 3 days 😟. Otherwise, the B & B was very pleasant!
