Avis Novecento B&B

The place is very nice, and the turn of the century teme very cool. Although small details could be improved to make it more practical (for instance the curtains by the bed replaced by a wooden header, or eliminate cluttering (like artificial flowers in the corridors), these were very minimal details to mention (and my own preference) because overall the place is excellent. Tiziana is just great, and she speaks English. She gave us good information about the town. Note: Although we stopped there just as a place to then join Matera, we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Massafra, with a very nice old town, castle, and especially the Gravines (canions) that split the town. Very pleasant experience overall. BTW, if you stay there, try the Focacciaria di Paolo which is close by and make the best focaccia I ever had!
