ABOUT EVENTS
- All gatherings require prior owner approval and a written acceptance of the gathering when making the reservation
- All house visitors in excess of your group, must be disclosed in advance. The house and property is for your inputted number of guests only unless prior arrangements are made.
- Rehearsal dinners, oyster roasts, shrimp boils, and wedding breakfasts, and all events require prior discussion and written approval. An extra fee is charged. Small family style gatherings are allowed with the extra fee and a larger Security Deposit. You must get a pre-approval from us at the time of booking. You must discuss details with us before placing your reservation. No more than 20 additional visitors will be approved or allowed.
- No weddings are allowed.

This is Scanlonville - Remley's Point, on a quiet dead end street... an old Historic neighborhood - demographically and ethnically diverse and deeply rooted in the Gullah-Geechie culture.... settled after the Civil War. If you are uncomfortable with diversity, then don't book here. Neighborhood was a prime stop on the famous Chitlin Circuit. Local homes can be moderate houses, ramshackle shacks, or mega-million-dollar mansions. You will find it all in this highly desirable, well located, diverse neighborhood.

Parking: 4 to 6 vehicles can park stacked in the driveway. No on street parking in front of house is allowed. Cars that cannot fit in the driveway will need to park around the corner in parking lot on 4th Street.

Excellent location for access into Charleston. Lovely home that was well equipped and very comfortable. Spacious, yet provided privacy, with various bedrooms and sitting areas. Patriot's Point area was convenient for ferry travel to Fort Sumter.

Reunion of friends
We picked a great property for a reunion of 4 friends (and 3 spouses). The location is convenient to downtown & beaches, stores are close by, yet the neighborhood is quiet. The house itself was spotless, tastefully decorated with comfortable beds, premium beddings and towels. The salt water pool was put to good use by most of our group and there was plenty of seating on the deck to enjoy the nice backyard. It was too warm to use the fire pit or I’m sure we’d have enjoyed that too. Communication was excellent with expectations laid out well ahead of time and repeated at the time of arrival. George accommodated two of our group’s slightly earlier arrival, which we appreciated. This property is highly recommended!!.

Fun in the sun
This house is just as described! 5 spacious bedrooms,( 2 king size suites), 4 bathrooms, more than enough space for everyone to spread out, and not be on top of each other. From the rockers on the front porch, to the screened in porch, access to the deck from the king suites, everything is laid out perfectly. The fenced in yard, with multiple seating areas,(including fire pit), gave our grandchildren ample space to play. Of course, the pool was the biggest hit for the little people, and there’s a playground nearby as well. The open floor plan was perfect, allowing us to be together, without feeling like we were in each other’s space. Communicating with the owners was seamless and responsive to our needs, especially when my husband and I were stuck in traffic, and had to sit for an hour. They graciously agreed to let our son check in with his family, even though we weren’t there. We made friends with the neighbors cat, who was affectionately named Boris, providing free entertainment for the grands. Quiet neighborhood. All in all, a great time had by all.

This is a beautiful home. There were 8 adults and it had plenty of space. George is immediately responsive to any questions we had. The pool is beautiful. We wish it would have been warmer so we could have used it. The only strange thing was that we had to provide our own garbage bags. There was one in the trash can and that was it. We were informed of this when renting, but I have rented many, many homes through VRBO and have never had to bring my own garbage bags. I'm sure they have their reasons but I don't know what it is. That isn't a big enough issue to not rent though because it really is a beautiful home and a very quiet neighborhood.

Family time for Easter
This property was perfect for our family gathering in Charleston to celebrate Easter. The house was super convenient to local restaurants in Mount Pleasant as well as the beach at Sullivans Island. The private pool and fire pit were an added bonus! Would stay here again!

Beautiful home for Bride’s family!!
We traveled to Charleston for our daughter’s wedding downtown. The home was exactly as pictured, full of eclectic local decorations and everything working and well stocked. All beds were comfortable, bathrooms spotless, overall just wonderful. Close to the bridge, and quick ride or Uber to our locations at the Citadel and reception. Owners are communicative, easy to check-in and out. Entire party loved the home, the location, everything. We would 100% stay again in a heartbeat!

The property was in a great location to downtown Charleston. We are able to Uber everywhere is a timely manner. The neighborhood was delightful! We enjoyed the house and cook several meals in the very equipped kitchen. We so enjoyed the outdoor firepit and the backyard was so private. Laurie and George were great to work with and very conscientious to assit us with our stay. We definitely would stay again at any of Laurie and George's property.

Girls Trip
I cannot stress enough how great this property is and how responsive/friendly the owners are - even gave us a great tip about King Street. We were there for a Girls Trip (all in 40s or 50’s) and has an amazing stay. Very clean, everything you need, and great location. Close to a number of things, but hidden back off the main path. Great great place to stay and would definitely return.

A Few Days Away
Great place and Great location. Clean and everything you needed for a comfy stay. In the middle of everything that worth seeing or doing in the the Charleston and surrounding area. Perfect get away for a large family or even two family’s. We had 4 couples in our group and there was plenty of space for more. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area

Beautiful and spacious property with plenty of room for our two families to share while in town for a wedding. Family Vacation 2023
Very inviting online which always makes me nervous. Pictures are always true. This time they were. Very beautiful home. We had clean towels, 2 coffee pots, beach, and pool towels. Three rooms had their own bath with very nice Tiled showers, the other 2 share a bath. Owners were always quick to respond. My only complaint is the day the pool people came to clean the pool, we couldn't use it for 6 hours after. So we missed an evening at the pool. He prob should clean the pool in the late evenings for people who are staying using the pool. The location was great. Very quiet and safe. Most nights we forgot to lock the doors. Highly recommend renting this house for a week with your family. You are minutes to all amenities and a short drive to the beach or downtown Charleston.

The Pool Trust House
The Pool Trust House was perfect for our 4th of July Family vacation. Close proximity to the beaches; but with smaller children who prefer the pool to the beach, having the pool outweighed being on the beach. We were still able to spend just the right enough time at the beach. Great restaurants nearby. Easy access to grocery stores and other shopping needs. We loved the house and it's amenities. Well stocked with everything needed from towels/linen to kitchen pots/pans, dishes, and utensils. Privacy for everyone when needed and common areas that accommodated family togetherness. We have added the Pool Trust House to our list of favorites. We will definitely visit again.

Perfect Location for fun and relaxation
Six adults came to explore Charleston and surrounding areas for a week. We absolutely love this house. There was plenty of space for two more couples. The house was phenomenal. The beds were extremely comfortable. The neighborhood was very safe and centralized for lots of activities. Everything we wanted to do was a 20 minute ride away. Whether you have a rental or use Uber, this is a great location. We would absolutely book this home again.
