First, note the 1 dog rule. I missed it and wouldn’t have booked this place if I had dug a little deeper. Second, believe the reviews. Positives: hot tub and TV worked and there have been some updates. New carpet and the wallpaper has been painted over so it’s all white. Negative: I wouldn’t call the one inch of ocean you can see from the deck an “ocean view”. Nor would I call ice cube trays “an ice maker”. The fridge had a bunch of sand in it. The wooden cutting board was dirty. But the best… the bed was NOT clean. The comforter had crumbs or sand on it and the sheets had something dried on them that resembled blood or chocolate. Thank God the unit had washer and drier (held together with tape - you can’t make this stuff up) so I could at least wash the sheets. I love Ocean Shores and have stayed at many hotels and condos and would never recommend this one.

No beach access. Jacuzzi barely works. No air conditioning. Rock hard bed and pillows.

The place was clean, the bed was very comfy, the coffee tasted great, that was supplied. The coffee pot needs a good cleaning it takes over 20 min to brew a pot. The white remote control did not work, could not get a new one in the three days we were staying there, so no local tv, only streaming,ok. The hot tub jets have two inserts missing. And there were no robes, like it showed in the add. Otherwise, we did enjoy our stay.

ok but missing important elements

The overall experience was ok enough. I did have some issues that were very irritating. First, the jetted tub in the living room was crazy loud! and so were the neighbors' tubs! The upstairs unit turned theirs on at 10:30-11:00pm and we couldn't sleep.The TV wouldn't turn on and the directions in the book needed to be updated. When we finally figured out which of the four remotes to use, we were only able to get a picture but no sound. I suspect it had something to do with the cables that were unplugged. A call to the help desk only got me a "work ticket" for the next day. Then next morning, we wanted to scramble some eggs, only to find no hot pads/mitts, and ALL the pans looked like they had been through WWII: coating more than half scraped off down to the aluminum pan on three of the pans, and the fourth one wasn't too far behind. Too scared to use them. Had to work the microwave and make due. Please help out the next guests and get new ones. Also, I didn't take my bathrobe because the photos show that they are provided, but there were none there. I froze in my jammies alone. At least the fireplace worked, which was nice.The back door is missing the deadbolt, and only skimpy extra locks, and that made us nervous to go to sleep. Blinding front porch lights glared into the bedroom, making sleep hard. You need to provide blackout curtains. Hope this helps. I'd love to get some money back or a credit for a future stay, if the problems are taken care of.

Disappointed with care and cleaning

The location was convenient, but the property wasn't clean and needed of some repairs. Upon arrival, the box for the key was not locked and just opened when we started to enter the code and the key just fell out. As we we were settling in, we found garbage in one of the upper cabinets, as well as dirty utensils in the drawer and dirty glasses in the cabinet. The floors had spots of dust and debris and needed sweeping. In the bedroom, the night stand was pulled out at an angle and the clock was turned upside down. The bed looked hastily made and we found quite a bit of hair on the sheets (which was gross so we had to re-wash them). In addition, the right-side rail on the bed frame was not connected to the headboard, so we had to reconnect it to keep the bed from sagging. When washing the sheets, we found the dryer door didn't properly latch and there was old packing tape stuck to the machine (there was additional strips of tape hanging from the shelf to use in order to keep the door closed while drying laundry). The lock on the back slider did not work, so they had a make-shift lock to secure the door - it should be fixed. The hot tub did not look clean either, but we did not plan to use it anyway. We did contact Vacasa to let them know what we found and they did offer to send someone over later to clean, but we were pretty much done with re-cleaning the unit. All in all, very disappointing experience and will not be staying there again.

Dissapointed

Charming building, clean...but unit was in desperate need of updating. Bed was terribly uncomfortable, pillows could hardly be considered a pillow. Couch was ripped and stained. Carpet had pet stains and what looked like bleach spots. The biggest issue was that there were no smoke detectors in the entire unit, no carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers were completely out of date. How can this even be legal??? I will not be staying at this venue anytime soon.
