If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Quiet location. Amazing staff. Great rooms. Soft bed.

Love the Anchorage Motel. Wonderful staff and very clean. Rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect beach vacation stay.

Very clean and family friendly, the cottage was perfect for our family. We only stayed one night but it would be great for a few nights or a week at the beach!

Nice Place, but No Table and Chairs!

Two night stay for day hikes and the coast. We booked a king room with kitchen so we could prepare and eat breakfasts in the room. Nice decor, spacious, and a full kitchen with a leather couch. Even had washer dryer. But wait: NO TABLE AND CHAIRS! So four stars instead of 5. Seems reasonable to expect a simple table and two chairs for eating when we booked a room with kitchen. Staff said room not advertised as having a table and chairs (?!). Also said someone broke the table and/or chair(s). Sorry, no excuses please. That said, we still recommend this place but suggest first confirming a table and chairs if you get a kitchen room.

We appreciate you bringing up the table and chairs because while we do our best to provide photos that accurately reflect our rooms some guests do not always look at the photos. We did review our photos of the unit on Expedia Partners and they do not show a dining table or chairs, nor do we advertise a dining table with chairs for this unit. We do have other units that do have dining tables with chairs that are shown in the photos. We did have a coffee table in the room (not pictured) but the guest who checked out just before your arrival damaged it beyond the point of being able to leave it in the unit and we were not able to get a replacement in before your arrival. Again, we do thank you for bringing this up so that future guests can be aware to check the photos provided thoroughly to ensure that the room they are reserving meets their needs. Very friendly person for check in who provided recommendations for dining that were great. Room was as pictured and had everything we needed including a comfortable bed.

I thought I already did this, but I would like to reiterate my last post if it did not post. I booked a double king suite for two nights. I spent almost $600. When I arrived, the staff was very nice. When I got to my room, I immediately realized that the front window did not lock, but it was behind the tv, so I didn’t pay much attention to it. I did however realize that there was no couch, or chair, but a built in platform with a mattress pad on top. There was a little kitchen and refrigerator, but then I noticed that there were no doors to either bedroom, but rather they had put up curtain rods with shower curtains to close off the bedrooms. Once I related the situation to the rest of my family, I called the office to ask for them to rectify the situation. They proceeded to try to upsell me to a room that did not have AC, or king beds. I spoke with the owner, and he refused to do anything, so I contacted Expedia. Expedia was only able to negotiate a refund for one night, so as I didn’t want to lose almost $300 dollars, my family and I were forced to stay there for the night. Please do not give these people your money. The place is substandard, and I am simply trying to keep anyone from making the same mistake that I did. All my best, & good luck

We definitely appreciate you bringing up these items as we feel it is important for potential guests to read descriptions, view the pictures and familiarize themselves with our policies. Our photos for each of our listings accurately represent the setup, which does include a daybed in the living room area and shows two arched doorways with no doors, if you look at the photos it does not show any doors, nor does it show any type of latches or hinges making doors possible. We did install a wall-to-wall curtain rod and a decorative privacy curtain so that guests would be able to attain some level of privacy much more so than the other local establishments where there are two beds in the same large room within feet of each other. We offered you and your friend that was with you an upgrade to our two-bedroom cottage which is a house much larger than the king family suite you booked, which we thought would be more than acceptable for two people. It is the only two-bedroom unit we had that was available for your stay with solid bedroom doors. We are confused as to why this was such a big issue because you ended up at one of the other establishments where they only have two queen beds in the same room within five feet of each other and no a/c for the rest of your stay.You contacted the office two hours after you checked in. Since you were in the room for that duration of time it would require a complete housekeeping service where we would have to remove all linens, towels and sanitize every surface as if you were in the room for the entire night. Which is why we offered to refund you on the second night’s stay. When you booked the room, you booked it at a non-refundable rate which means that you were not entitled to a refund at all. We thought the offer of a refund for the second night was a good compromise since we do not have 24-hour housekeeping and the room would remain closed for the night until the next morning. You then proceeded to harass the office staff throughout the evening via text message, even resorting in an attempt to blackmail and coerce us into giving you a full refund in exchange for a positive review. We do not appreciate the bullying approach you took with our office manager or the attempts at blackmail. Again, we do thank you for taking the time to leave us this review which gave us an opportunity to respond and hopefully will help guests to research the room/suite/cottage they are booking to ensure they book the appropriately sized room for their needs and stay.
