Great property for family trip
Publié le 18 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed with my husband’s family to celebrate my in law’s 50th wedding anniversary. Children on our trip ranged in ages from 2-16. The property had plenty of space to accommodate everyone and our kids were all entertained by the downstairs game room. I personally appreciated that all the stairs were fitted with built in gates as my 2 year old is very curious and rambunctious! The property is conveniently located near Shady Maple, the Strasburg Railroad, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, and Casey Jones Restaurant. All great, family friendly attractions! Residence was very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

Weekend getaway and refresher

Hidden Gem
Publié le 21 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe booked this log cabin for a wedding for a family of 10 people. We requested a noon check in and Mr. Kenneth was super accommodating. The cabin was very clean there were extra linens for indoors and outdoor seating on and for the bonfire. He thought of everything needed for a large group.
There were toiletries shampoo conditioner already in the bathrooms and there were enough towels washcloths. There were enough dishes, cups, wine glasses and the kitchen area was super size and enough for our group.
All the pics were exactly as advertised and the cabin when you walked in was cozy and warm. He even had a system where you can play cassette tapes, cd or radio. It was just so beautiful inside.
Pretty much everything well prepared for us and also wood to have a fire.
There is absolutely nothing that I would say that needed change. If you are coming to truly relax and explore Lancaster Amish Village this is a place you should stay. The only downfall was there is no wifi so if you are planning to do a work retreat that is not the place but it is amazing to sit outside on the porch and read a book, catch up on some rest, write in your journal do a fire take a hike.
This is truly nestled in the woods and you get to appreciate the outdoor life. Thank you Mr. Kenneth we were happy with everything.

TL and his family were the perfect guests. They were very respectful of the property and extremely considerate of the surrounding areas. Even though they had a few relatives over for a social time they were very quiet. Will welcome them back anytime.

Beautiful house

A beautiful place
Publié le 14 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe recently stayed at Spring Acre log cabin. The pictures on the website didn’t do the place justice. It was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. My husband and I stayed with our adult children and their spouses and we had a wonderful time. Our host, Ken, was extremely accommodating and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful place and hope to visit here again ourselves.

Mike and Lisa along with their family members are the greatest people i have ever met. I very much enjoyed our conversations. They took better care of the cabin than i do. It was an absolute pleasure to have them stay here. They are all welcome back at anytime.

Peaceful cabin
Publié le 24 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our week at Spring acres. Seven family members came together from different locations. Ken was amazing to work with and quick to respond. We saw lots of horses & buggies and enjoyed a slower pace in this charming cabin. We did most of our cooking on site and bringing a few things assisted with that. Nice large refrigerator and second small one downstairs were perfect. Excellent stove top. We would come to this location again.
