Round Lake Summer Vacation
Publié le 21 août 2023 sur HomeAwayBeautifully appointed cabin with gorgeous sunsets, ample space and accommodation for 6 adults and 3 children. Kayaks, swim pad and tow tubes were all used (3 of us paddled rough waters across the lake to the historic logging dam, which is awesome). The pier accommodated our large fishing boat AND a rented 24’ pontoon nicely. Plenty of necessary supplies, cups, plates etc. Dishwasher a plus. Large dining area was used often. Fire pit (with excellent firewood) was used every night. There were a few times when we could’ve used one more bathroom, but we managed without any problems. We ate out 4 nights at nearby establishments (all fun times) and used the grills twice. Several of us hiked the Round Lake trail north of the lake; it was very mosquito-y. Several of us walked the road every day; 2 had nice runs for exercise. Fishing happened 4 days with marginal success. The location was remote enough to be mostly quiet, but not too far from Minocqua (shopping and dining—Norwood Pines Supper Club) and Park Falls (Saturday mass). Boating the entire Pike Lake chain was fun. Our first dinner was at Moose Jaw which we boated to.
Our only complaint (minor, didn’t affect myself in the least) was several in our group thought the water smelled funny, drinking from tap and showering. The showers were great otherwise, and always had steady hot water everywhere.
The basement area provided a nice refuge for all the kids, especially the tweens.
All in all a very good time was had by all.

Thanks for the review and glad you and the family enjoyed your stay. We have three filters on our well water system for sulfur, bacteria, and sediment. It sounds like the sulfur filter needs to be changed.

Peaceful Getaway
Publié le 19 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayBeautiful property inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views are amazing and the area is very quiet and peaceful. The cabin has everything you could need and more. We appreciated having the fish cleaning house as well. Mark was super helpful to answer any questions we had and he went out of the way to make sure we had everything we needed to make the stay perfect. Would highly recommend this property!

Really nice spot on the lake

Annual family get together

It was a perfect fit for all of us especially since everyone got their own king bed which is so nice. This property is well taken care of and has everything you need for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful and quiet!
Publié le 29 août 2022 sur HomeAwayGorgeous home, simply gorgeous! Everything was clean, the bedrooms all have king size beds that were so comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of pots, pans and everything you might need to enjoy a meal with your group. Go to the grocery store first - it is about 20 mins away and you will not want to leave. The only suggestion would be to add some table lamps into the bedrooms. The lake is quiet, can't express that enough - it is so peaceful and quiet. We did rent a pontoon boat and loved that experience. The owner is easy to contact and very informative. I can't wait to stay here again!

The cabin contact, Mark, was pleasant and went above and beyond to ensure your trip was everything you want it to be. I love that the firewood is supplied! We had 9 people and made so many memories. Absolutely book this cabin!

Beautiful house on a small lake chain
Publié le 9 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThe house is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Very clean. Wonderful new foam mattresses. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could want; crocks, blenders, a grill and griddle outside … this house has it all! Mark was great to work with and answered questions right away. I whole heartedly recommend this place! We reserved again for next year within 24 hrs of staying there!
