Great House
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were a party of nine (five adults, four kids aged 7 to 11) and the house worked great for us with six places to sleep. The house was big enough so that we could spread out and the eating area was large enough so that we could all eat and play card games together.
The weather didn't cooperate so much (only hit 70 one day despite being August) so we didn't really spend much time at the lake, but the amenities seemed very nice. We did avail ourselves of the playgrounds, heated pools, and pickleball courts.

We were able to accommodate this guest with a last-minute booking at a discounted rate and a shorter stay than our usual summer minimum. During the stay, the guest requested additional price reductions and reported issues with the dishwasher and oven. I personally visited the property on July 4th to resolve any concerns and had a pleasant conversation with the family. After cleaning the dishwasher, no further issues were reported.
Unfortunately, after checkout, our cleaners found the property in a very messy state. Furniture was rearranged, there were scratches on the floor, food stains on the kitchen wall, and new carpet stains. Additionally, a significant amount of hair clogged all three of the bathrooms, and food was left under beds. The guest also checked out late without notifying us, which required rescheduling our cleaning team to prepare for the next guest on a tight turnaround. We did our best to accommodate these challenges and compensated the late check-out to address any inconvenience.
While we strive to make every guest’s experience positive, we believe this guest may prefer a hotel setting with 24/7 staff to better meet their needs and would not host this guest again.

A wonderful week in the Poconos

Vacation at Mt. Maplewood Chalet
Publié le 26 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe home is beautiful. It is spacious and clean. The "grandkids", ages 12 to 26, had a blast at nearby Kalahari. They did some golfing, swimming, lazer tag, and an escape room.
I can't say enough great things about the owner, he was easy to communicate with and was informative. We would highly recommend tjis place!!

One of the best place in Pocono Mountain

The house is super clean and has a lot of beds if you do go with big group family and friends. The community has heated pool and small lake beach for children to play. We will definitely visit again.

Everything We Wanted
Publié le 5 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayHad a perfect stay with friends last weekend. The house is very conveniently located to anything you need: groceries, firewood, bars/restaurants. Great to have the hot tub under the deck as it rained all day Saturday, and it got plenty hot despite the outside temps. Also really great having trash dropoff near the exit, as we've stayed in other communities that required a long drive in the opposite direction after checkout.
Great communication throughout the booking and check-in process as well.

Great stay

The home was just as pictured and Ricky was great with keeping us informed and staying in communication with us for anything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub was great! There were 9 of us total including 2 teenagers and 3 children and everyone was very comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality, Ricky!
