Publié le 15 janv. 2019 sur HotelsSéjour d'1 nuit à port Douglas. Appartement pour 4 personnes très bien et bien équipé. Les appart à l'étage ont un jacuzzi très sympa. Bien placé à deux pas de la plage et du centre ville.

Room was in need of update- particularly bathroom . Spa was so noisy that it was alarming. Two Nespresso capsules supplied with advice that additional could be bought from reception.
Overall it would have been acceptable at half the price of $424 per night.

This was our first time to Port Douglas and we absolutely loved our visit. However, the accommodation was disappointing. Our room smelt very strongly of damp, which I assume is from people coming into the room wet making the carpet wet. Also, the condition of the room wasn’t what we would normally expect from a hotel. For example, the carpet in one of the corners was ripped up and there were quite a lot of large scrapes and marks on the walls. Note as well that you have to take your own rubbish out to the bins and your towels do not get changed if you are staying for a few days. We were unsure if this was typical of hotels in Port Douglas or not, but we haven’t experienced that at a hotel before. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Port Douglas is a wonderful place! The hotel was very well located near to shops and restaurants, but it was very quiet at night time. We used the hotel parking which was very easy to use. We would definitely visit Port Douglas again, but we would not stay at this hotel!

We are sorry to hear of the disappointment you experienced with your accommodation, this feedback is not typical for us so we take these comments seriously. The damp smell is often caused by the humidity we experience in this environment and something that is very difficult to avoid; as for the carpet damage we will address this with the owners. Our rooms are self contained apartment style like most in Port Douglas and not a Hotel set up therefore daily servicing is not offered- please do note that guest may exchange their towels for clean sets with reception at any time during their stay. This place is a good location leave the car in their car park and walk to shops and restaurants our only problem was my husband is a smoker we had a balcony room but there was no smoking even out on the balcony I wish we had of known this as I would have booked different accommodation
