Thank you for your response and comments. We are disappointed that you felt our home only deserved a 3, as we strive to provide the best vacation experience for our renters. I have provided some replies below, with the understanding that every person and family have personal preferences for their vacations. We extend our apologies if you did not have a 5 star experience and will take your comments into consideration. We hope that you will give us opportunity to meet your vacation needs in the future, and appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. The house does have zoned heating and cooling to control each side of the house. Although the house usually stays comfortable for our guests, we're sorry that you experienced issues keeping everyone comfortable. It is a large house with a basement, main floor and an upper area loft that is open air and overlooks the great room. We are disappointed to hear that you did not find the beds comfortable. This is good feedback, but also surprising as it is the first complaint we've received in 8 years renting our home. The notes that are in the house are to provide helpful instructions to guests on using items like the stove and TV as well as how to ensure the plumbing stays operational as the house is on a septic system. We hope you understand that this is our home that we live in when it's not rented. Because of this, we have our families pictures throughout the house, and normally receive positive feedback about their presence. In fact, some repeat guests have chosen to add their own pictures to our walls. As discussed during your visit, you were there on a holiday weekend with heavier than usual boat traffic. Although we have no control over the speed of the boaters and there presence, the Missouri State Water patrol does frequent the area. We did provide there number in case you needed to report any unsafe activity. Most of the families that rent from us bring their children, and play in the water, some also chose to rent boats and personal watercraft during their stay. We did show up to the house approx. 5 min. before your checkout time of 10a, but did not approach the house. We gathered supplies from a detached garage across the road from the house. We're sorry if this felt intrusive. Again, we appreciate your feedback and review. Thank you
